Happy New Year!  Yeah I'm a day late, but lets just say I've made a resolution not to sweat the small stuff.

It didn't really feel like News Years yesterday for some reason and today just feels... bizarre.  It isn't a snow-day/holiday/woot-let's-have-a-fresh-start day, but it isn't a Monday/back-to-routine day either.  New Years on a Thursday just ( Read more... )

Happy New Year! I like your image of a slow build to a stellar 2010.

This year will be good and interesting, too, for me, anyway. My contract ends on 10 Feb, which is really, really not good for my team, seeing as how it's 3 days before LPO and just 33 days before DBL (Phil is very much not happy), but on the bright side, I've got a bajillion projects lined up to do during hiatus and am looking forward to my first vacation in 3 years. I've been saving money like crazy in anticipation of this break, so I won't have to worry for quite a while, which is good, given the economy!

Here's to a very hopeful 2009. *throws confetti*

Hey! Sorry for not responding to your comment sooner, but as you can probably guess from my recent posts there's been some angst going on...

I didn't realize your contract is up so soon! I have to say that I am jealous of the hiatus. Enjoy!

Less than a week into hiatus and I am loving it so far. So many interesting things to do! Beading, sewing, some minor carpentry, writing, spinning, weaving and - my newest passion - building a castle! I bought molds from this site (the link takes you to the gallery page, but you can access the rest of the site from there) and I'm picking up some Plaster of Paris at Home Depot this week. Then let the casting, building, painting begin! I gather he caters mostly to gamers, which as you know I am not, but I've wanted to build castles block by block for at least 30 years, so you can imagine my glee when I found this site. That huge castle at the top of the page was built by someone I met through my flist and she's the one who pointed me toward the site ( ... )
