You leave me kind of breathless bb ♥ I love this post.

and this: there is a smell, a time, a place linked to it. It makes me sad in a way I can't explain There are so many things that I took with me to Japan, and things I came back with, and songs and lyrics and pictures and colours and just feelings that links me back to my trip that make me remember, takes me back there.

"This is it. This is how I see the world". There is this link that you can see but the other person can't - because they don't know you. I find this interesting. I kind of feel this way when I read Margaret Atwood, and I can relate so much to her characters and voice. I've only read 2 of Haruki Murakami's books, and Norwegian Wood put me a gloomy, gloomy mood for a few days XD I guess that's probably why I haven't read any of his other fiction novels yet.

P.S. the guy in your picture could be potentially cute *_*

I know what you mean! Going to see K8 in concert was a big part of the trip, but I do miss the country more *_* I think strangely my favourite parts of the trip are of me sitting on the trains, and passing by all the scenery, and thinking to myself, wow, I'm actually here. And I'll say that I was the most present during this trip, I never worried, I was never inside my head, I just enjoyed every single moment of it. We'll be back there one day :)

You never told me you were going through all her books!! Dancing Girls is my favourite short story compilation by her (god, we are so creepily alike). I think even with her extreme characters and situations the reader is still able to relate parts of themselves with the character, which I appreciate. And you have a good point about Murakami - I've only read one book, but I felt so frustrated with the main characters. I like how his writing is kind, idk, simmering at the edges? There's a slow build up in tension but it never really gets there.
