I need to decide whether I should go to King's College or Newcastle university next year for my master.

Both MSc are equally interesting and the universities have good reputation in science/research AND I DON'T KNOW WHICH IS BETTER. Living in Newcastle would be way cheaper but London. I keep wondering how much free time I'd have and if it's

Bueno, yo preguntaria por los horarios. Y estoy segura de que los fines de semana los tendras libres, right? So prefieres estar en Londres esos fines de semana que tienes libres? Ir a Hyde park, etc.

Basicamente puedes tener ke gastar mas dinero y arrepentirte o gastar menos y arrepentirte. O no arrepentirte en ninguno de los dos sitios. No sabes nada de horarios ni nada supongo...

Well, if the programs are about equally appealing, then I'd say go with the one that'll let you live in the kind of place you want to be. (Assuming you can afford to live in London without going totally broke.) I think a research-based degree can get you to working in industry too, if that's what you think you might want, and you might have more opportunities to make good connections for future work in London.

At any rate, good luck deciding, and I hope it works out for you one way the other.

I wish I knew how much free time I'd have while doing the masters. I feel my only reason for choosing King's would be, well, /London/ (which is an important factor but I wonder if it's really worth all the extra money). And I really have no idea about the "contacts" they may have or the grants for future PhD (or where to look up all that stuff!)

Good luck on choosing! I'd definitely go live in London though if I had the chance to. XD It's an awesome city (out of all places I've been outside my town, I think it's the only one I could actually live in), but everything is awfully expensive there. There's plenty of things to do, though! And everything is so pretty and organized and safe. If you want to live in a city bigger than Barcelona, I think it's a great option (if you can afford it, that is). :D

Ahahha exactly! Like I said to Ilana, I feel my only reason for choosing King's would be it's London and I'm totally enamoured with the city. Which, of course, is a factor, but I don't want to regret it later because I acted on a whim.
