Well I'm finally back from a week in Panama City Beach. The trip was everything I hate about the world but I remarkably had a good time none the less. While I and the people I was with clearly did not fit in (no greek letters on our shirts, etc...) we had a remarkable time with each other and the warm beautiful weather was certainly a nice break

I think part of the problem is the art community is too jaded. For a long time people have been introducing new things via "shock value" and that just goes so far. Then you become used to seeing anything and it is no longer new.. I know at least in the painting world, it's been said many times in the past few years -- "there is nothing new to see". This is so far from the truth!! but people just aren't able to see that we haven't seen it all and there really is more out there.

and yeah. there's my rant on the artistic community for the evening.
