i am of the firm belief that every fandom needs one

mike is a baker and harvey is the high-powered lawyer who just can't stop himself from coming in every day to buy a muffin, and they strike up a friendship that turns into TRUE LOVE

maybe mike could be using it as a front to help trevor sell drugs? aka SPECIAL BROWNIES AND WHATNOT and harvey finds out and gets mad and helps bring mike back up to legitimacy

idk i just want a bakery AU give this to me please and thank you xoxo gossip girl

They heft the boxes back into the kitchen, where Mike directs Harvey to place the box of pears that he's carrying on the floor while he puts the box of apples on the gigantic counter lining the wall adjacent to the doorway. It's pale and marble and gleams in the places where it's not sprinkled by white flour and powdered sugar. Harvey looks around for a moment to appreciate the kitchen; it's not often that he's in one - he lives on fine dining and take-out - and he's surprised by the amount of equipment that he's not too familiar with. The wall opposite to them seems to be covered by a series of ovens, to one side there is a small army of silver metal carts with removable shelves to let whatever's just been baked cool down (and those croissants and tarts he sees look too good, like they belong in the pages of Bon Appetit or whatever, or possibly in Harvey's mouth), and the remaining wall holds sinks and more counter space. When he looks back to Mike again, he's got a small knife - handle first, of course - pointing at Harvey's

"Let me rephrase that. What do you do for fun, Michelle?" He likes the way Mike's ears turn pink at that, even as he's turning away to wash his hands at the sink.

"It's Michel, with one 'l', if you're going to say it. I can hear you pronouncing it with two. One 'l', male. Me, male." He dries his hands off on a rag hanging on a hook above the sink and stalks back to the longer counter proceeding to slice the apples he had already peeled.

"Me, Harvey. You, Mike."

"If you're trying to be clever about Tarzan," Mike says, clearly miffed, "You should know that's a misquote and was never actually said in the movie."

Harvey freezes. Like, actually freezes because come on how is that even fair that this kid can bake and say things in a French accent and know movies
