“It’s strange. Even when you seem happy, singing or whatever, you still have that look on your face.”

I looked at him, confused, “What look?”

“You know, that look. Like you’re ready to run at any moment.”

It's funny, I think when I first read this I was so into the squeeing and excitement that I barely absorbed it. This time around these lines really hit me. It's so true of Veronica, and so sad. I can't remember if Veronica being ready to run becomes more of an issue later on but I feel like this is kind of the crux of the story; that summer she's running from the rest of her life, and afterwards she's running from, or at least drifting apart from, the rest of the Fab Four again. I kind of want it to end with her not running any more, realizing she doesn't have to, connecting with them fully again... But that's the happy ending junkie in me talking, and on the other hand I realize that in the end she's not so much running as she is moving on, which is different and allowable. It's just all so sad that I had to point it out ( ... )

Part of me is really impressed that this new Veronica could see sex with Duncan as something that wasn't the end all and be all of the world, and the then I'm equally amused at how she can banter with Logan and not pick up on his not-so-subtle hints.

The fact that you're working up toward Logan/Veronica here excites me, and I'm intrigued at how they'll really get along when there seems to be some very awkward moments between them before this.

I still adore this premise and I really can't wait for the next part.

Ah, another update!

This is a very telling chapter about your Veronica. She's vulnerable (more so then on the show) but at the same time this pretend tough chick. It kind of cracks me up how she's fooling herself.

The smoking must! die! Seriously ;) And Panic! At The Disco. Hee. Oh Lilly, of course 12 year olds are gonna be there.

This is a very interesting WIP, I like it. Their interactions after being years apart with no contact ring very true. Actually I'm quite suprised to be sad to see that Veronica and Keith aren't close. It was really interesting and suprising to see Duncan and Veronica so casual about their whole relationship, it's so unlike them (or you know Veronica) you know. But then they are 20 in this story, so it's somewhat fitting.

Who is the main couple of the story by the way. Not that it matters much, but I'm curious.

Good job, can't wait for more!

Well, again... woah... I like the 'one last time' thing with Veronica and Duncan, though it was also a first time... Anyway... I like when Logan and her talk because they are natural, or so it feels.
I can't wait for more.
