The bubble finally burst.

I snapped today. Lol In the tamest way imaginable.

To start off the day, I literally woke up to a call from my mom. Turns out she was really hurt because I was making it seem like I didn't want her to be involved in my transition. I'm an idiot. Anyway that's all cleared up now. After the phone call though I ended up having to give two of my friends ( Read more... )

aww im really sorry people just arnt caring enough to use your new name and pronouns i know it can suck my dad still wont and ive been asking him too for 4 months. but they will get there just give them sometime, its good you stood up for yourself even if it wasnt in the way you wanted it can just be practice for the next time when you feel even more confident to confront them about it. also dont let your friends go all eww on you about it tell them they need to get over it its just surgery.

See, that's the part that frustrates me. My "new" name that I've asked them to use has already been my nickname practically since birth. It's a name they've been using for years now, I'm literally asking them to call me by the name that they already call me, so how can it be so hard? The pronoun thing, I get how that's difficult, but this just annoys me. I guess since it is the name I've been using for years it makes them more comfortable, like they feel they barely even have to change anything so they don't think about it as much or try as hard. My dad says I should give him a whole new name to use and I'm about ready to tell him, "You know what, you can call me by the new middle names I've picked, like I told you I'm fine with that, I wouldn't have picked them if I didn't love them, the fact is it's not about what makes it easy for you, so put some damn effort into it and use the name I've asked you too ( ... )

you should try not responding to your birth name try that like when there asking you something or whenever they use it just pretend you didnt hear them and they might try to get you attention with something else.

friends try to understand but they still dont "get it" lol my friends are like whyy would you spend all that money at such a young age and all that stuff and i just shrug.

thank you! i hope you get it soon :D

OH MY GOD, I love that idea! I hadn't thought of that! It lets me get my point across and I get to do the exact opposite of talking and if I do have to all I would say would be "Uh, who are you talking to?" or something.

Some of my friends are amazingly understanding, and then some of them probably won't ever "get it" but oh well. Hehe I have my hopes up that by summer I'll be on T. The only single thing I'm worried about is the whole body shape changing thing, and my shoulders and feet getting bigger. I don't think I'll grow out of like, anything, since my shirts are all fairly loose, and my shoes too but I don't want to grow out of my favorite jacket, it took me forever to find an xs mens jacket and I had to promise to wear a dress to my graduation so that my mom would buy it for me!
