Chapter 6: Yunho's choice
Yoochun was watching Junsu's every move, trying to figure out what it was that was off about the boy. There was something...
“Junsu, come here.”
“Hm?” Junsu was standing on the other side of the roof, shirtless, looking down at the beach.
“Come here.”
He came waddling over and sat down on the edge of Yoochun's beach chair.
“You just want me in your presence or are you actually going to say something?” Junsu asked when Yoochun just kept staring at him, small wrinkles forming in his forehead.
“What?” Junsu asked. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
Yoochun stuck out his hand and started tugging at Junsu's swimming trunks.
“What are you doing?!” Junsu squealed. “Changmin could come up here-”
“You're ass is tanned.”
Junsu blinked. “You saw me naked yesterday. Why are you saying this now?”
“It was dark yesterday. Why is your ass tanned?”
“Because I don't want the weird line,”Junsu shrugged.
“So you decide to tan naked.”
“Got a problem with that?”
“Why aren't you naked now?”
“Because Changmin could come up here any second.”
Yoochun stood up, walked to the small door that lead downstairs and closed it. “What about now?”:
“You know, if you want to do it we could just go downstairs-”
Yoochun went back to sit in his chair, grabbed Junsu's arms and pulled him into his lap. “You mean you don't want to do it under the hot, burning sun?”
“I want to...but all the stuff is downstairs.”
“It's okay, we don't have to go all the way,” Yoochun shrugged. “We could just-”
“...and you can stop following me, because I'm not going to listen to you calling me names and say stupid crap!” Yunho barged onto the roof.
Junsu sighed and got out of Yoochun's lap against his will.
“Not exactly Changmin, but I prove my point,”Junsu murmured.
“You think you can just leave for hours and come back without telling me where you went? That's not what being a boyfriend is about!” Jaejoong screamed, barging in after Yunho.
“Oh and being an asshole is?” Yunho retorted.
“You guys....you're practically on the streets,”Yoochun said. “Everyone who passes can hear you.”
“You weren't minding that when you were about to have sex just now, were you?” Jaejoong snapped at him.
“Well, that's true...”
“Jaejoong, why don't you just tell me what's really pissing you off, instead of just being a prick,” Yunho suddenly said.
“I think we should go downstairs,” Junsu said softly and him and Yoochun left.
“The reason I'm being a prick is because you've been weird ever since we had sex-”
“The only reason I had sex with you was because you wanted it so bad. I should never have said yes, and I'm sorry I did. I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry for pissing you off, I'm sorry for making you think you were bad, I'm sorry for everything. This is my fault and I'm sorry.” All that in just one breath. Jaejoong didn't know what to say, but he didn't have to. Yunho continued. “I wasn't ready and I have to deal with it. Please, just let me deal with it on my own?”
“What are you saying? On your own? Are you-Are you breaking up with me?”
“Why is everything black and white with you?” Yunho sighed.
“So what do you mean?”
“I mean you don't have to feel like you feel right now-”
“And how do you know how I feel right now?”
“Jaejoong... I know you feel guilty and you shouldn't.”
“I don't feel guilty at all,” Jaejoong spat.
“Okay. So you're being a complete asshole for no reason at all?” Yunho asked and sat down in the beach chair that had been Yoochun's chair just minutes before.
“I'm being an asshole because you were being one.”
“And I said I'm sorry.”
“It doesn't make any difference.”
“Well, then I'm sorry about that to, but I can't change that.”
“Yeah you can. You can stop seeing Heechul.” It was out before he knew it. He hadn't meant to say that, he hadn't meant to sound like a psycho jealous boyfriend. Really he hadn't, but the fact that Yunho had had the biggest crush on Heechul in the past and the fact that they had been hanging out so much had always bothered him. The trip to Japan had just made everything a million times worse. For some reason he felt relieved. Yunho knew. It would be okay now-
“You know I can't do that, Jaejoong,” Yunho sighed.
So maybe it wouldn't be okay. “Why?”
“Because he's my best friend. He's always been my best friend and he always will be.”
“Then tell me this,”Jaejoong said and stood in front of him, blocking the sun. “Who's your boyfriend?”
“This is ridiculous.”
“I am. He's your best friend, I'm your boyfriend. Pick one, Yunho.”
“Or what, Jaejoong?” Yunho snapped and stood up, towering over him. “You'll break up with me? Is that what you want?”
“Stop seeing him and we'll be fine.”
“No, we won't. I won't be fine. I can't cut out one of the most important people in my life just because you ask me to.”
“I'm not asking! I'm forcing you, okay? Pick.”
Yunho stared into the distance for a while and Jaejoong's stomach turned over. He did it-
“I'm going home,” Yunho finally answered before walking away. Junsu and Yoochun were standing on the other side of the door and got startled when Yunho opened it.
“You guys, I'm really sorry,” Yunho sighed. “I'll see you back home, okay?”
“I'm coming with you,”Junsu quickly said and followed Yunho downstairs.
Yoochun went up to the roof to see Jaejoong still standing in the same spot. “If you go downstairs now he'll forgive you.”
Jaejoong looked up at him and was about to say something he would regret later on, but didn't when he saw tears sparkling in his eyes.
“Stop crying,”Jaejoong said. “I'm not crying, so why are you.”
“Do you know how many times he said he was sorry? 8 times. He didn't do anything wrong and he said he was sorry 8 times.”
“Yoochun, stop it.”
“You're full of crap, Jaejoong. And you know it.”
