Chapter 8 : Who’s the real whore?
“Your man is having fun.”
Junsu snapped his head into Heechul’s direction. “What?”
“I said, your man is having fun,” Heechul repeated, a bit louder this time and pointed at the dance floor where Yoochun was getting sandwitched between two guys.
“He’s not my man,” Junsu said, turning away and sipping his coke. “He’s my sex.”
“Your sex?”
“My sex.”
“Cool.” Heechul got up from his seat and bumped into Jaejoong.
“Where is he?” Jaejoong asked.
“Not here,” Heechul said and tried to walk away, but Jaejoong stopped him.
“Then where?” he demanded.
Heechul sighed and rolled his eyes. “Japan.”
“What?”
Junsu tugged on Jaejoong’s hand and he sat down, while Heechul walked away. “Did he just say…”
“Yeah. But I’m sure he’ll be back soon. School only started a week ago, so he can’t exactly miss to much,” Junsu tried.
“You…shouldn’t look at the dance floor,” Jaejoong said and of course, Junsu turned around to see one of the guys with his mouth latched onto Yoochun’s neck. “Usually it’s you who’s dancing and him sitting.”
“He can do whatever he wants,” Junsu, sounding weak in his own ears.
“Is he drunk?” Jaejoong asked.
“Weren’t we talking about Yunho?” Junsu said, slamming down his drink. “Maybe you should just call him. It’s been over a week.”
“He should have told me he was leaving for Japan,” Jaejoong snapping. “He should call me.”
“That’s stupid,”Junsu shook his head.
“You know what’s stupid? You suggesting to have an open relationship when it’s eating you up,” Jaejoong said, watching Yoochun wrap his arms around some dude’s neck. “I hope he’s not drunk. I don’t want to carry him home.”
“If you hadn’t shoo’dYunho away he would drive us home,” Junsu said, before standing up.
“Hey! Where are you going?”
“Air,” Junsu said and waved before heading for the entrance.
It was a warm night.Junsu wanted something cold, something to cool down his nerves. He regreted leaving his coke inside. He leaned against the door of the club, heart hammering for some reason. Taking a couple of deep breaths he got ready to go back inside, but didn’t. He didn’t want to see Yoochun flirting with god-knows-who-times-two and he didn’t want to sit there with Jaejoong who was depressed and acting like he wasn’t. He crossed his arms in front of his chest and pouted, eventhough there was no one to see it. Or so he thought.
Junsu’s head snapped up and he frowned as Yoochun stood in the entrance of the club, watching him, judging him.
“Stop looking at me.”
“You’re mad.”
“I’m not.”
Yoochun put his hands on Junsu’s crossed arms and tried to disconnect them, but Junsu wouldn’t budge. “You’re mad.”
“You got me.”
“And why are you mad?” Yoochun asked. His shirt fell off of his shoulder and he pulled it back up. It fell again.
“Because you look like a whore.”
“Okay…”
“And you’re acting like a whore.”
“Right…”
“Ýou’re so easy. It makes me sick. Seriously, you were giving me shit because I kissed two guys in one night and there you were just minutes ago, rubbing yourself on two random guys’ boners.” Junsu stopped and wanted to kick himself. So.Hard. Where did all that come from?
“Hey, are you done?” Yoochun asked softly.
“I’m sorry,” Junsu said, even softer. “I didn’t mean that.”
“Then you shouldn’t have said it.”
Junsu looked up and met Yoochun’s hurtful stare.
“Please don’t look at me like that. You’re not a whore. You were just having fun and I’m just jealous.”
“I think I’m going home,” Yoochun said, diverting his gaze.
Junsu wondered how they went from fooling around in the bathroom at home just two hours ago, to this.
Yoochun started walking into a random direction, but Junsu grabbed his arm and pulled him back. “I’m the whore,” he said. “Yell at me and tell me I’m the whore. You’ll feel better.”
Yoochun turned around and glared at him. “Why would I call you a whore? You weren’t the one rubbing youself onto two guys’ boners, were you? I’m the whore.”
“No, I’m the whore.”
“No, Junsu, I’m the whore.”
“No, I’m the whore for calling you a whore.”
“I’m the whore for playing with those two guys.”
“I’m the whore-”
“You guys…” They turned around and saw Jaejoong staring at them, eyes bloodshot and lips shaking. “I think I’m the whore…for just kissing someone who wasn’t Yunho.”
Junsu should never have gone outside. If he hadn’t gone outside he wouldn’t have a that stupid fight with Yoochun and he wouldn’t have left Jaejoong alone and Jaejoong wouldn’t have kiss someone who wasn’t Yunho and-wait. This wasn’t his fault. This was Yoochun’s fault! Yoochun shouldn’t have been dryhumping those two guys, then Junsu wouldn’t have gone outside and then Jaejoong wouldn’t have been alone and he would never have gotten the chance to kiss someone who wasn’t Yunho.
“This is all your fault,”Junsu said out loud, knowing Yoochun was still awake in the bed below his. Shirley had bought new bunkbeds, so that the four of them could share a room and no one would have to sleep in the living room or god forbid in hers.
“Fuck you,”Yoochun muttered. “Stop talking and go to sleep. Jaejoong could come back any minute.”
“He’s not coming back. He’s been sleeping in Shirley’s room for the past three days. And Changmin went back to his parents house this weekend so I can say whatever I want. This is all your fault.”
“Shut up, asshole. I don’t want to hear it.”
Junsu sat up straight in his bed, his head almost hitting the ceiling. “You don’t even want to talk?”
“And let you call me a whore again?”
“I’ve called you a whore a million times!”
“Not like that. You meant it this time.”
“I didn’t.”
“Then why the hell did you say it?”
“We’ve been over this! Why do you want me to say it again?”
“Because clearly you’re still holding something against me. And as long as you’re mad, I’m mad and I can’t forgive you.”
“But we almost made up before Jaejoong came and dropped the bomb on us…”
“Yeah, and you just went and made it worse.”
Junsu let his feet dangle from the side of the bed and stared at the floor. He could hear Yoochun’s sheets rustle under him.
“I was jealous.”
“I warned you about that.”
“I know, but I can’t help it, okay? I can’t just not feel this way.” He jumped down and sat on the edge of Yoochun’s bed. Junsu pulled away the covers to reveal his face. “Are you listening?”
Yoochun came up slowly, leaning on his elbows. “Why don’t you make it easy for the both of us and just say what you expect from me. Do I get to flirt with other guys? Do I only get to flirt with other guys when you’re not around? Do I have to ask you for your permission to go on a date with someone? How does this casual dating thing work in your mind?”
“We were fine when we were on the trip,” was all Junsu could think of to say.
“Yeah, well life isn‘t all having free diner and sex in cars,” Yoochun said, before pulling back the covers and turning towards the wall.
“What now?” Junsu asked, barely audible, but Yoochun heard him. He turned around again.
“You know, I went outside after I saw you leave the club. Those guys offered me everything, okay? And I see your sorry ass walk away and I have to follow you. How do you think I feel when you call me a whore. I know you’ve said it before but there’s a difference when it’s all fun and games. It hurt okay?”
“Yoochun, don’t cry.”
“Fuck you. Go find your own stupid bed and leave me alone.” He pulled up the covers and moved into the wall as far as he could.
Junsu lied down in the empty space beside him, not touching him, just lying there. “You can date anyone you want. I won’t say anything anymore.”
“But you’ll think it,”Yoochun muttered.
“I’ll think it because I love you.”
“You don’t love me. You love my sex.”
“Hey…is that all we are?”
Yoochun uncovered his head. “What?”
“Is that all we are? Do we just have sex and that’s it? We haven’t really been on a date or anything since we came back and school started and all.”
“We’re not just sex,”Yoochun said. “You know that.”
“Just wanted to be sure. Are we okay now?”
Yoochun reached behind him until he found Junsu’s hand and pulled him, closer, so close they were spooning. “We’re not even close to being okay.”
“Okay,” Junsu said, and it was the last thing said that night.
