Chapter 13: Fanboys and Needing Cake
When Jaejoong entered the café on campus Monday afternoon, he didn’t expect to see Yunho there, sitting at a table with Heechul. He was already reaching for his cell phone to call Taegoon and tell him to meet up somewhere else, when Yunho called his name.
“Jaejoong! How’ve you been?” He seemed happy. Heechul scowled.
Jaejoong walked over to them, wondering if how he should greet him, what would be apropriate for an ex whom you’ve dated for almost a year and only recently broke up with.
“Hey,” Jaejoong said, followed by a weak wave in a general direction, because he didn’t want to give Heechul the feeling he was getting ignored. “I didn’t know you were coming back.”
“I didn’t really tell anyone,” Yunho shrugged. “Sit down.”
“Actually, I’m…waiting for someone…”
The little bell above the door rang and Taegoon entered. With a huge smile on his face he spotted Jaejoong and came flauntering towards them.
“Hey, why aren’t you sitting-” he asked, getting distracted in the middle of his sentence. He turned to get a better look at Yunho and his eyes widened in surprise. “Aren’t you…”
Yunho looked up at him curiously and tilted his head. “Aren’t I…?”
“Jung Yunho?”
“I’m sorry, I don’t recognize you,” Yunho said embarrassedly. Heechul let out a loud groan.
“No, of course not! You’re Jung Yunho, famous model! You’re even better looking in real life! I’m a fan!”
Jaejoong wondered if all the karma he had earned through out all of his life, was hitting him in a full blow right that moment.

“This grudge you’re holding against me is taking to long. Talk to me,” Junsu whined and tried to pull the book Yoochun was reading out of his hands.
Yoochun pulled back his book and turned away. Thank god the bookstore was deserted, or else Old Lady would have fired him for playing around.
“Stop ignoring me!”
Yoochun ignored him and returned to his book.
“Yoochun.”
“…”
“I’m taking off my clothes.”
Yoochun thought it was a bluff until he saw a shirt dangling in front of his face. “What’s Old Lady going to say when she comes back and sees a naked guy standing in her store?” Junsu breathed into his ear.
Yoochun snapped his head around and saw that Junsu was still wearing a shirt. He frowned and turn his back on him again.
“O, come on. That was funny!” Junsu said and tugged on his arm. “Just talk to me. Yell at me. Call me names. Hurt me. Abuse me. Have angry sex with me-”
“Leave me alone, Junsu. I don’t want to talk. Or have angry sex with you,” Yoochun said. “I don’t want to see you at all, right now.”
“Then why’d you look when I said I was naked?”
“Because I could lose my job because of it. Now leave me alone. I’m working.”
“There’s no one here and you’re just reading. We need to clear this up, Yoochun. And sooner is better than later, you know.” Junsu sat down on the counter and Yoochun scowled at him. “This isn’t your house. You can’t just sit anywhere you want. Get off.”
Junsu jumped off, pretty surprised by Yoochun’s outburst. “What is your problem? I’m trying to fix us, Yoochun. Really, I’m trying but you’re pushing me away…”
“You can’t just fix anything.”
“We have had more serious fights and solved them faster than this. You’re making a big deal out of nothing here.”
“If it’s nothing then just leave me alone.”
“But you’re still mad.”
Yoochun closed his book and slammed it down on the counter. “I’m not just mad. I’m pissed as hell! You’re acting like you’re the only one in this, like you’re the only one who gets to date people and do whatever you like. Make up the rules along the way. Well, fuck you and fuck your rules because if that’s the way you’re going to act then I’m out.”
“I’m not saying you can’t date anyone, I’m just saying it’s weird that it looks like what you and Yesung have isn’t just dating. I just don’t want you to fall in love with anyone else…”
Junsu’s hands were shaking and he clutched onto the counter for support. He felt like he was seconds away from bursting out in tears.
“Then you should never have suggested this in the first place,” Yoochun said, seeing the agony in Junsu’s eyes and looking down.
“So…what are you saying?”
“I don’t think this casual dating thing is working. I’m not doing it anymore. Either you’re my boyfriend or you’re not.”
It took all of Junsu’s self control not to slap Yoochun in the face. Why was he making him choose? He knew he wasn’t ready, he knew he’d mess it up if they got together right then.
“I’m 18 and you’ve just turned 19-”
“I don’t care, Junsu. Jaejoong and Yunho were our age-”
“And look how that ended! If they had been older they may have never broken up. That’s my whole point. If we do this now…” Junsu bit his lip and when he saw Yoochun look away, he knew it was a lost cause.
They just stood there for a while, until they heard a customor come in. “So what now?” Junsu asked softly.
Yoochun shrugged. Junsu waited for him to say something, but nothing came.
“Bye…” Junsu said, before leaving the store.
One way or another he got home that afternoon. Shirley was the only one there. He sat down next to her on the couch and she frowned. “You look like you need cake.”
“Yes please.”

“O my god! You two dated? I’m so jealous! I would die for a chance like that, Jaejoong. Is he a good boyfriend? I heard he was in lawschool too, so that means he’s hot and smart. And he seemed really nice just now. Is he single at the moment? Or was the guy with him his boyfriend?”
“Taegoon…Yunho is great, okay? I get it. He’s perfect, smart, nice, gorgeous, never should have let him go. Can we move on now? Which movie do you want to see?” Jaejoong stared at the sign behind the --- where all the current movies were displayed with the times they would start, but he wasn’t really seeing anything. Taegoon’s last question was bothering him, and he hadn’t answered it because he simply didn’t know the answer. Maybe Heechul and Yunho were dating now. No. If that was true then he would have heard about it one way or another. They all had the same friends and hung out with the same people so…but then again Yunho coming back was big, and he hadn’t told anyone about that either. Not even Changmin, Yoochun or Junsu.
Jaejoong wondered if he still had the right to be jealous.
