Chapter 13: 1 year and 8 months ago
Junsu was tired after a long day of work and went to the market to get some groceries before going home.
When he reached the register there was a handsome boy standing behind it. He was the only one not wearing the store´s uniform. He was wearing a name tag though. It said: Park Yoochun.
“Hi there,” Park Yoochun smiled at him and Junsu wondered how this guy could be in such a good mood when it was almost ten o'clock at night and he was still working. “You look pretty tired. Maybe you should have bought yourself some coffee.”
“I'd rather just sleep,” Junsu answered without thinking and regretting it immediately when the guy smiled at him suggestively.
“Really? That sounds good. Mind if I join you?”
Junsu just stared at, to shocked to even answer.
“Just kidding! God, the people around really don't have a sense of humour,” Yoochun rolled his eyes. “Here you go. And stop looking at me like that. I was joking!”
Junsu quickly paid for his groceries and left without saying anything. The last thing he heard before leaving the store was: “You're cute!”
A week later, before work, Junsu went to get himself a cup of coffee at a small coffeehouse just across from the radiostation. When he saw the person fixing the customers' coffee he thought he was imagining things, but when the man turned around Junsu got a clear view of his name tag saying: Park Yoochun.
“Who's next?” Yoochun asked.
“Ehm...” it was Junsu's turn but he was somehow at a loss for words. Maybe he should just leave-
“How can I help you, cutie?” Yoochun asked flashing him a million-dollar-smile.
“Coffee.”
“Right...something more specific maybe? Milk? Sugar? Sex?”
“What?” Junsu's eyes widened and his ears turned red. “What did you say?”
“Would you like milk or sugar?”
“You said sex!”
“Maybe I did. About the milk and sugar-”
“I thought you worked at the market,” Junsu blurted. He really didn't want to talk to this guy, but his mouth was running for itself.
Yoochun's eyes widened in surprise. “You know me? Why don't I know you?I think I'd remember a cute but like that.”
“I want milk and sugar. Lots of sugar.”
“Coming right up, cutie.”
“Can you stop calling me that?” Junsu snapped annoyed.
“Why?” Yoochun chuckled. There were no other customers left in the small shop, probably because it was to early for most people to even be up.
“Because it's weird. You don't know me.”
“I'd like to get to know you-”
“That's weird to.”
“Why?” Yoochun laughed again. “Dude, you really don't know how to flirt.”
“Maybe I just don't want to flirt with you,” Junsu frowned.
“That's not true. Everyone wants to flirt with me. I'm a fun person. Good looking to-”
“Is my coffee done yet?”
“Yes sir,” Yoochun smiled before handing Junsu his cup of hot coffee. Junsu was about to walk out and the last thing he heard was Yoochun saying: “Come again!”
It took Junsu three days to bring up the courage to go back to the coffeehouse. He didn't want to, but he felt like he had to.
It was right before work that Junsu entered the coffeehouse. His immediately found what he was looking for sitting on top of the counter singing his heart out, amusing one of the other employees.
At the sound of the little bell hanging from the door Yoochun turned around, a huge smile decorating his face. “The cutie came back!”
“I thought I told you to stop calling me that,” Junsu said, kind of flustered.
The other employee that was standing around left to do something at the back leaving the two alone in the shop.
“You got me worried, you know? When you didn't come back the next day I thought I lost my mojo.”
“Who says I came back for you? I just want my coffee...”
“Lots of sugar?” Yoochun smiled and Junsu fell in love. Just like that.
Junsu would go into the coffeehouse before work every morning for three weeks. He was disappointment that Yoochun hadn't asked him out on a date. Maybe he really did just flirt with him for fun... it still hurt though. Junsu knew he should be the one to take the initiative if he wanted Yoochun, but it was hard for him. It was hard to be like that...
Until that third week when Yoochun announced that it was his last day working in the coffeehouse. They had never exchanged phone numbers or anything like that. This is it, Junsu thought, I blew it.
Days passed after that and Junsu stopped going to the coffeehouse knowing Yoochun wouldn't be there. When exactly one week had passed and Junsu was done with work that evening he found someone waiting for him in front of the building.
“Ha! I'm totally on to you!” Yoochun smiled.
“Wha?”
“You're so cute I could squish you, you know that?” he laughed. “I was testing you! I still work at the coffeehouse. I just wanted to see if you'd stop coming if I told you I wouldn't be working there anymore.”
“I hate you.”
Yoochun moved in closer to Junsu and hugged him. It felt so warm and perfect that Junsu didn't dream of ever letting go.
“If you take me home with you, I'll make you love me,” Yoochun breathed into Junsu's neck.
And so he took Yoochun home with him. And Yoochun made him love him.
