“Then why were you all over Donghae just now?!” Yesung accused. Kibum turned his head to glare at his hyung. Yesung gulped, the young actor’s eyes were harsh and cold.
“Will you stop being so paranoid, Jongwoon? I’m not cheating on you! But now, I wonder if I should have. I don’t even know why I’m with you!” Kibum snapped.
“Y-you wouldn’t dare,” Yesung spoke softly, his voice wavering.
Kibum lifted his chin, “I would.” Yesung bit onto his lower lip until he could taste blood and let out a soft moan at the contact of his skin against the cold stone wall when he leaned against it for support. He had to place his hand on the wall as he could feel his legs shaking, ready to give out at any moment.
Kibum could see tears forming, threatening to fall and stain the floor and he immediately regretted what he said. Yesung’s lips trembled as he said the first thing that came to his mind.
“I hate you.”
Yesung stormed out of the dorm; not bothering to grab anything to protect him from the cold wind. He ran as fast as his legs could take him. He doesn’t know where he’s headed, as long as it’s far away from the dorm that no longer contains the warmth that Yesung had once known.
Yesung ended up on a sandy white beach, a two hour walk from home. Or in Yesung’s case, a long run from the dorm. He collapsed onto the sand and let out a scream. Over the horizon, he could see the sun setting, making the sky fade into a beautiful orange, yellow. He sobbed and wailed, letting out his frustrations.
He swallowed back a cry as he could feel the pain starting to creep up his legs. The feelings from the incident resurfaced and Yesung had to clamp his hand over his mouth to stop himself from crying. ‘I w-won’t cry...I-I w-won’t...’ But despite how much he was against it, he let out a strangled sob as hot, wet tears coursed down his cheeks.
Yesung doesn’t know how long he’s been staying in the same position. The sun has set and the crescent moon hung majestically against the dark sky. Yesung’s tears had most likely dried into his skin, leaving trails. Yesung could feel the energy being drained from him. Little by little, his consciousness flickered.
Hands suddenly encircled his waist and Yesung could feel someone’s hot, ragged breath on his neck. Obviously, the person was out of breath.
“J-Jongwoon,” the person breathed.
“Kibum?” Yesung managed, but Kibum chose to ignore him and went on mumbling.
“I’m really sorry, Jongwoon. I really am. I shouldn’t have said those things back there. I love you and only you. When you said that you hated me, I felt my heart stop. Please forgive me. I love you and will never, ever, let you go.”
“K-Kibum...I’m sorry too.” Kibum just hugged the older boy tighter.
“You really wouldn’t leave me?” Yesung asked, eyes half closed, consciousness slowly slipping away.
Kibum eyed his lover’s puffy, red eyes and felt the guilt building up inside him. Had he really made the angel in front of him cry? “I would never.” Kibum gently lifted his hyung’s chin and gave him a chaste kiss on the lips.
Smiling, Yesung buried his head in the crook of Kibum’s neck and breathed in his scent. Yesung entwined their fingers together before slowly falling unconscious in Kibum’s arms.
