07.The Date

"Come on, one picture won't hurt. I have a million pictures of Jaejoong on this camera." Yoochun put one hand around Junsu's waist from behind and put his chin on his shoulder. He held up the camera with an outstretched arm. "Smile."
"Don't do that," Junsu said and pushed his arm down. "Can't risk it."

"Why not? We're just two guys in a picture, aren't we? It's not like I'm sucking on your neck," Yoochun said and pressed a kiss in Junsu's nape, "or biting your earlobe," he continued and took junsu's lobe between his teeth lightly. "Or, I don't know, kissing you?"

Junsu turned to welcome Yoochun's lips on his own and laughed into the kiss when he noticed Yoochun's arm coming up from the side, followed by the sound of a click and a flash.

"Bastard, erase that," Junsu said and fumbled the heavy camera out of Yoochun's hands.

Yoochun saw him look at the picture, blush a bit before scrolling to the next picture instead of deleting it. "No one can see that picture," he murmured. "Put it on your computer or something, just don't leave it lying around-god you have a lot of pictures of Jaejoong."

"Junsu, Mea is ready for you."

Junsu's head shot up and he nodded at the stable worker. "Thanks, we'll be right there." He handed Yoochun his camera back. "You shouldn't have brought this here. It's your own fault if it breaks."

"What was the whole point of this again? And why would it break? It's not like I'm riding or anything." Yoochun followed Junsu into the stable where a large groomed horse stood waiting for them. Junsu immediatly walked up to it, petting it's head and nose and Yoochun snapped pictures.

"Turn off the flash," Junsu said. "She'll get annoyed."

Yoochun did as he was told and followed Junsu and Mea out of the stable and into the cold winter air.

"Well?" Yoochun asked when Junsu just stood there, combing through Mea's manes with his gloved fingers, "Aren't you going to get on?"

"I'm not really dressed for riding," Junsu said looking at him as if he was crazy. Yoochun looked at him, covered in brands from head to toe, a Woolridge winter coat that could easily have cost around 800 dollars, tight light jeans in spotless leather boots. It always took some getting used to, seeing classmates or anyone from school out of their uniform and not in either pyjama's or sweats. "What's wrong with what you're wearing?"

"When I ride I like to be comfortable. These pants are tight and this coat is too thick."

"Well then take it off. The coat I mean. Not your pants."

Junsu laughed and tugged on Mea's reins, pulling her further into the field behind the stable. "Fine, but you better make it worth it. Capture me from my best side."

"From behind?"

"Oh you'd like that, wouldn't you,"Junsu laughed. "You're always checking me out. I'm starting to feel like a piece of delicious meat."

"Don't worry, you're not that delicious," Yoochun said as he managed the settings of his camera. He didn't notice Junsu's intent stare towards him until he looked up. "What?" he asked.

"Never mind-"

"No, what is it?" Yoochun pushed.

"I was just wondering something, but it's not important and it's kind of inappropriate, so..."

"Inappropriate is what I do best, so hit me."

"Okay. It's okay if you don't want to answer me but when you said you were a virgin, was it true?"

Yoochun's eyes widened in surprise. "Yes, why?"

"It's just still hard to believe. How? I mean, why?"

"It just never happened. We're not all blessed with a perfect boyfriend, like you are."

It had been a little over three weeks since that kiss in Yoochun's room after the weekend and they had been meeting up in Junsu's room just like they had before. The only difference being that now and then they'd share a kiss, never too much, just a touch of lips. Last week Yoochun mentioned something about wanting to start photographing again and Junsu suggested he go home with him one weekend and he could take pictures of his most prized possession, his horse. Yoochun had agreed, he wasn't stupid. Junsu wouldn't invite him to his house if he didn't want more. Had it been a different situation, was Junsu not in a serious relationship already they'd actually be making out already.

The more time they spent together, the more Yoochun wanted to touch him. Just have his arm around him, brush his hair away, put a hand on his shoulder, anything. He lived for those little kisses they shared. But the guilty look that appeared on Junsu's face now and then annoyed him. He had to admit he was starting to get a bit jealous. Junsu loved Taegoon, that much was painfully clear. But every time Yoochun thought that maybe they should stop, Junsu did something like kiss him first or text him in the middle of the night or during class. He felt bad for mentioning Taegoon, but Junsu didn't go into it. Instead he just clucked his tongue and shrugged. "Are you sleeping over tonight or are you going home?"he asked.

"I don't know," Yoochun shrugged, "do you want me to stay?"

“Yeah, why not? We could go out ,” Junsu said, before climbing onto the big horse in one fluent movement.

Yoochun watched him ride around the field and almost forgot to take pictures. He was impressed by how confident Junsu looked and how well Mea seemed to listen to him. When he finally realized he was supposed to be taking pictures, he zoomed in on Junsu's face.

When Junsu said they could go out that night Yoochun expected them to go to a club or a bar. At least not this intimate café, that only served beer and wine for alcohol and had soft music in the background. Junsu ordered two beers and the waitress called him 'Mister Kim'.

“You come here often?”Yoochun asked.

“It's one of dad's cafés,”Junsu answered. “The very first one, actually.”

Yoochun had almost forgotten that Junsu's parents owned a large chain of restaurants and cafés in every corner of the country. He knew they were wealthy, but everyone from their school was, you couldn't afford a private boarding school otherwise.

“It's not like I know all the employees or something. This one is close to home, so I come here in the weekends when we're free.”

“What's your boyfriend doing tonight?” It was out before he even realized it. Junsu seemed shocked and looked down as he shrugged. “You don't know? What, are you fighting or something?”

“Something like that. For some reason he wants to do something special for Valentine's day when he knows how I feel about that. Valentine's day is just another day if you ask me. And when I said that he was offended or whatever.”

“I'd be pissed too,”Yoochun admitted. “How can you not be when your boyfriend doesn't want to spend Valentine's day with you?”

“Who cares about a fake holiday, though? We can spend our money on flowers and chocolates any other day of the year.”

“Do you? Do you ever buy him flowers or chocolates?”

“Does it matter?”

“Of course it matters and I'm taking that as a no. Babe, I don't think I'm the right person to talk to about this, but I can tell you one thing. Man, woman, whatever, everyone likes gifts and attention.”

"Can we please stop talking about this? We'll figure it out. It's not that big of a deal."

"I'm sure you have much bigger relationship issues," Yoochun murmured and Junsu frowned. They were quiet for a while and Yoochun could clearly see that Junsu was thinking. Their beers came right before Junsu said: "I've been thinking about all of this. Taegoon and I have been together for a long time. He's my best friend and I really don't want to hurt him, ever. You know if he'd ever find out...he deserves so much better. I can't even imagine how he'd react. And you of all people..."

"Ouch."

"No offence, but he really doesn't like you. He thinks you're obnoxious, arrogant, an ass basically. He doesn't even like me hanging around you, let alone...this."

Yoochun really couldn't care about what Taegoon thought of him. He was right, anyway. He took a sip of his beer and waited for Junsu to continue.

"I know you probably don't believe me when I say I love him, because how can you love someone and cheat on him like this? But I do, I really do."

"Where are you going with this?"

Junsu drank from his beer and wiped his mouth before looking at him again, insecurities evident in his eyes. "I know you're going to laugh and you'll probably won't want to see me again, but the truth is that I do like you. You've made it very clear that it's all superficial for you and you don't care for me in that way. I just wanted to tell you that."

"That's very...honest. I don't know what to say,” Yoochun said. He'd be lying if he said he was surprised. “I'm flattered? Or maybe I'm not because really, you don't like me that much. Not enough to leave Taegoon for me."

"I love him, Yoochun. That's different. And I'm not leaving him for someone who doesn't even like me back, I'm not stupid. I'll get over it."

"How? How are you going to get over it if you keep hanging out with me?"

"I have a feeling you'll do something stupid soon enough and I'll wonder what I even saw in you to begin with. Until then-"

"Would you leave him if I asked you to?" Yoochun asked. He knew it was a bold question to ask. Junsu stared at him, mouth half open in shock. "That's not fair. I'm not answering that. Why would you even ask me that? You and your stupid ego. See? This is the kind of stupid thing I was talking about."

"Why is this a weird question, though? It shouldn't be that hard. You just said you like me, but you love him."

Junsu didn't answer him. He just sipped more of his beer and looked around the café.

Yoochun took a moment to take in what Junsu had just told him. He had a crush on him. Okay. Was it time to confess that maybe he sort of almost kind of liked him too? No. Yes. No. Stop. Maybe he'll have sex with you if you tell him. Tell him.

He scraped his throat and caught Junsu's attention again. "It's not that I don't like you at all," he said.

"What?"

"I like you too...sort of."

"Touching," Junsu snorted. "You don't have to make up a lame-ass confession, okay? It's fine."

"No, I'm not making it up, I swear. You're cute, what's not to like?"

"You're trying to sweet talk me into bed, aren't you?"

"Yeah, but that's besides the point. I can't say I'm in love with you, but to say there's nothing there would be a lie."

Junsu looked down, but when he looked back up seconds later he was smiling.

When they got back to Junsu's parents' house things went pretty fast. His parents were sitting in the living room together, with a bottle of wine. They smiled at them, told them to not make it too late and Junsu lead Yoochun into his room. Almost immediately they started kissing.

"Did all that sweet talk really work?" he asked softly and rubbed their noses together.

"I guess it did," Junsu smiled. "Since it's your first time-"

"Don't remind me-"

"We should make it special, right? With candles, rose petals, music?"

"You have rose petals, really?" Yoochun asked and Junsu shook his head. "I have music and candles though."

"I don't need anything," Yoochun said. "Just you."

"Sweet," Junsu murmured and pressed kiss onto his lips. "But first times are supposed to be unforgettable. Give me your lighter."

Yoochun blinked and Junsu rolled his eyes. "I know you smoke. Just hand it over."

Yoochun fished his lighter out of his jeans pocket and put it in Junsu's open hand. "I don't smoke...much." He didn't know why he said that.

Junsu let go of him and walked over to his bedside table to light the unused candles on it. Yoochun took that moment to sit down on the bed. It was bouncy, he noticed. It all felt surreal all of a sudden. Him sitting in Junsu's room, on his bed no less. Yoochun had imagined his first time to be with a boyfriend. Either that or just someone he'd meet in a club and went home with, shitdrunk. Junsu was basically somewhere in between.

"Tell me about your first time," Yoochun said when Junsu sat down next to him after turning of the lights.

"Oh...you can't tell anyone about this," Junsu said before looking at him.

"More secrets?" Yoochun asked. "How many skeletons do you have in your closet, man?"

"You're exaggerating. It's just...when Taegoon and I slept together for the first time he thought it was my first...but it wasn't and I never told him. So please don't tell him. Or anyone for that matter."

"Then who was it?"

"Someone else. Stop ruining this," he finally said before kissing him. Yoochun got pushed down onto the bed and Junsu reached for a remote control before turning on the stereo.
