 Well.... Needless to say I am very upset, ticked off, and freaking out. I went to Pittsburgh around 3 yesturday to pick up some furs I met at my furmeet and them we got back here to Robinson just fine. Then, just as we pulled into the Sheetz gas station my car sputtered and died. I tried to start it up, no answer. So we pushed it to a parking spot ( Read more... )

*hugs back and nuzzles* I know you would.....I'll make due. The walking everywhere(but wal-mart, some 2 miles away x3) will do me some good and I can get some exercise. Hell whenever I get a new car I still might walk everywhere x3 I just need to have a new one before AC and then get myself financially stabilized. Maybe I will call you tomorrow and talkies ;_;

Hehe, tis OK. I will make due. I can maybe get a ride once or twice a month to Wal-Mart for foodstuffs and I can walk to work and back. So things will be different for a little while. I am hoping to get a new car and the insurance squared off before AC. As long as I am stable financially then I will be fine

That is great then! I know how screwed up it is without a car. My car quit on me several times. It was annoying and It quit on me while driving and I was at the point where i started crying and kicking my car... D8 It's fixed now. I helped my dad fix it in the cold weather... :P

If you have someone with an engine lift, I would suggest going to a junk yard, yanking an engine, and dropping the "new" one in to replace the broken one. I could replace it, but I'd need a garage and an engine lift. Sadly, I don't have access to that in PA.

Best of luck with the repairs.

Have you considered a loan to replace the engine with?

well, there is no sense in dropping an engine into a car I only payed 1,700 dollars for. I am just thinking of junking it and getting a new one, if I can get the money. Still gotta pay Pep Boys their 90 dollar "diagnosis" fee x.x plus I am going to need to get it towed off the lot, probably another 200 bucks x3

If you're thinking of junking it then, you might want to check those ads in the papers that give money for junk cars. You might be able to get some cash for it and they will pay you for the car in most instances. Look for the ads that say "we pay money for junk cars, free towing" and the such.

That sucks man I wanted to post a couple days ago but only finally got my LJ validated. Anyway, I have a friend that does nothing but work on cars. Depending on what's all broken he can get your car running like new. He's going on like 56 and his dad (88)was a master mechanic for Ford back in the day. They're the only one's I trust to work on my car.
