The perks of being a student in the trimester program is that there are a lot of subjects that you can have in one academic school year. In one term, you have at least seven subjects to study, which is an advantage because in just more or less three months, you get to learn a lot. The flexibility of schedule is what's great about this program. The program would be most beneficial to students if both students and the faculties cooperate.
Disadvantages of this program is also about the flexibility of schedule. We have a lot of subjects and in just one academic year, not much focus is given on learning,rather, to pass the subjects is what students are focussed to. There are also such cases wherein the assigned professors won't show up at all. It is a given that in college, it is not spoon feeding anymore, but of self study,still, students would not know what to study by themselves if not for the professors' aid. sometimes the chance to learn a lot becomes a waste because of such cases. Last thing is the pressure almost all teachers put into their students. Some push and pressure would be of help to the students, but when at the same time all teachers ask too much from their students, draining them, they end up being amotivated and unproductive. The course load and academic pressure are too much.
