Special Effects of Inception. I have to say that those scenes were my favorite.
My mother also told me rather emphatically: "If you don't get married, I'm going to kill you." That's the first time she's said something so Chinese-mother to me; I'm not sure whether I'm supposed to be worried or horrified.

D: Hi shinny!!!
S: Hello Draco.
D: do you remember when we used to dream about being Japanese pop idols?
S: Yeah...
D: What happened to that?
S: ... I don't know. Fell out of the convo I guess?
D: We should go and form sunc.
S: Haha, where would we even start?
D: idk, johnnys? but they only allow boys huh?
Surprisingly, Draco was the first to go to Japan. She couldn't read a word of Japanese, and she could barely say, "Kon'nichiwa; watash wa Draco desu." Still, she packed her things in two large kitty printed suitcases and bought a one-way ticket to Tokyo--it was cheaper than round trip.
She arrived at the Narita Airport, clutching her purse which had the directions to the hostle she was staying at until she could get her own place. The people at the airport were polite and all smiles, telling her "Yokoso," and Draco could only blush and beam back.
Tokyo it was all tall and grey and she could feel the hum of electromagnetic waves in the air, but there was a smile on her lips when she stepped out of the train station and into the rush hour traffic of the evening.
"Hello, Tokyo!"

WonWon's heart leapt to her throat when she got Draco's email.
Hi sunc!
This is Draco! I've moved to Tokyo and it's so cool here! I am having a blast. I want to be an idol, but I can't be an idol without sun, so you guys should come to Japan!
hugs and kisses! <4
Draco
Not sure if she believed it, she immediately sent a text to Draco only to get a message from the cell phone carrier that the number was no longer in service.
Then she dialed Luna who picked up after the first ring.
"Hi WonWon!"
"Hey, Luna. I was wondering whether you got Draco's email about her being in Japan?"
"Yep!"
"You don't think it's true right?"
"Draco's like, the worst liar in the world. I don't think she's lying."
"Do you think she'll be okay?"
"I hope so; I emailed her back telling her I'll be on the next flight over."
"... What?"
"Well yeah, I'm the one most suited to be an idol so I have to be there, duh."
"You're kidding."
"Oh, I'm gong through security right now. I'll talk to you later, WonWon!"
And then the line went dead and WonWon blinked as her cell phone flashed the call time of 3:14.

Draco and Luna were wandering on a university campus, trying to find the canteen so they could get an inexpensive lunch when a man wearing a cap and geek-chic plastic glasses approached them.
"Hello! Are you students?" the man asked them.
Blushing Draco shook her head, and Luna was just pleased that someone could speak English. Pouting prettily, Luna said, "No; but we're looking for the cafeteria."
"You very pretty. Do you want to be in movie?" the man asked them.
Draco and Luna blinked at the man and then each other before turning back to the man.
"Really?" Draco squeaked, covering her blushing face.
The man smiled and nodded. Draco jumped, "Yes! Of course!"
"Wait!" Luna interrupted, causing both Draco and the man to look at her. "Do I get lines?"
The man looked confused, "Lines?"
"Do I get to talk," Luna clarified, trying not to roll her eyes because if he was going to talk to her, he should know English--honestly.
The man immediately brightened up as he nodded. "Yes. Talk lots."
Satisfied by the answer, Luna beamed, "Okay. Wait until WonWon and Shinny hear about this."

"They want us to go over there," WonWon said excitedly. "We can be in movies. I mean, the parts aren't that big, but that wouldn't be the point, right? We could be famous."
ShinLynn made a face as she set down a mug of coffee for WonWon and tea for herself on the coffee table. "Aren't they kind of, getting ahead of themselves? I mean, they're kind of like... extras aren't they?"
"It's still exposure," WonWon said as ShinLynn settled on the couch and picked up her files from work. "We should go. I have a good feeling about this."
ShinLynn opened her file and started looking through it, occasionally writing something down with her pen. "That we should abandon everything and run off to Japan to become idols?"
WonWon frowned, watching ShinLynn work at home, "You don't have to say it like that."
"Everyone wants to be famous," ShinLynn added, eyes not lifting from her work. "Do you honestly think we could be that less than half a percent that actually make it?"
"Yes," WonWon answered confidently to which ShinLynn snorted. WonWon watched the other girl continue to work, not stop working even though it stressed her and noticed the rigid posture and just could not understand. "What are you so worried about?"
ShinLynn glanced at WonWon and then returned to the files she needed to read through. "I'm not an idol."
"So? You work in a cubicle, in an office where your boss doesn't even know your name," WonWon pointed out.
"And I'm okay with that," ShinLynn immediately said, her mouth in a thin line as she looked at WonWon. To WonWon, it seemed like she was trying to convince herself. "Really."
WonWon sipped at her coffee. "I'm going to go."
ShinLynn didn't answer.
"We'll wait for you, you know," WonWon continued. "Because without you, we'd just be unc, which sounds a little awkward to be an idol group name."
ShinLynn couldn't help the snort of laughter she tried to choke back, but WonWon grinned. "Really. As long as it takes; because we're a group. We're only complete when we're all there."
"What if it doesn't work out?" ShinLynn asked quietly.
WonWon didn't even pause, "What if it does?"
ShinLynn didn't know how to answer that.

It was when Draco, Luna, and WonWon were spending their Christmas together in the tiny one room apartment Draco rented out, huddled around the kotatsu, all missing home that Luna asked, "What are we all doing here?"
WonWon said, "I miss home."
"I miss Cinnamon," Draco muttered quietly.
"Why aren't we famous yet?" Luna whined, burying herself further in the warmth of the kotatsu. "We were in a movie."
"I hate to say it, but you weren't very good," WonWon admitted. "You're really not cut of for acting, Luna."
"Shut up; you guys just don't understand my genius," Luna sniffed petulantly, burying her head in her arms.
"Maybe Shinny was right," WonWon said, wrapping her cold hands around the warm cup of tea as she absently gazed into the green liquid. "I'm also kind of tired of this Japanese tea."
"And we're running out of monies," Draco added sleepily.

All three of them jolted awake, staring at the door. They never got any visitors except for Aoyama-san from next door who told them to shut up; and Fuji-san from downstairs who made them all a bit uncomfortable. The three looked at each other and did a quick rock-paper-scissors to see who had to answer the door. WonWon lost.
Scowling, she left the warmth of the kotatsu and hoped to dear god that it wasn't Fuji-san.
She opened the door and pasted a smile on her face, "Good evening, Fuji-san."
"Meri kurisumasu," the man said, leering at WonWon in her sweater and sweats; he held out a white box with a red bow on it, "Purezento desu. Kurisumasu ke-ki."
WonWon made a strained smile, "We're really fine. Thank you."
"Let's eat!" He said, and for one horrifying moment, WonWon thought he was going to try to come into their tiny apartment.
"Uhm..."
WonWon looked beyond Fuji's tiny frame and saw a figure, bundled in a black winter coat, scarf, and cap, lugging a large suitcase behind her.
"Shinny?"
ShinLynn looked straight at her and smiled, "Merry Christmas."
"Shinny?" Draco squeaked from inside before her she peered around the corner and saw the girl. "Shinny!"
"Shinny! Save me," Luna called from inside.
Fuji-san looked from at the newcomer and began talking in what sounded like introductions. ShinLynn just made a face and forced a smile as she bowed. She said something, and very soon after, Fuji-san nodded and went downstairs, wishing them all a good night after leaving the cake with WonWon.
WonWon couldn't even bring herself to be angry at ShinLynn for waiting so long. "We're glad you're here."
ShinLynn smirked, "You'd better be. I come bearing Christmas cheer and all that jazz. And some very tasty hot chocolate. So why is this apartment so ghetto looking? I figured you guys would be in a penthouse with security by now."
"We were waiting for you to show up," WonWon told her, helping ShinLynn with her suitcase.
The moment ShinLynn got inside, Draco threw herself at the girl and nearly crushed the shorter girl's lungs. "Shinny! I missed you!"
"I missed you too," ShinLynn said, patting Draco on the head. She looked over at Luna, "Luna! I watched your movie. You were terrible. Don't ever go into acting."
"I was brilliant! You guys just haven't realize it yet," Luna sniffed with her nose in the air. "You watch; the moment I'm famous, people will be begging me to be in their movies."

Omake:
2 years later
"Good morning, Shinny! what did you think of 'Window'?" Draco asked cheerfully as she flipped another pancake onto the stack next to the stove.
"Luna still can't act to save her life. They should have given that role to WonWon," ShinLynn complained as she grabbed a plate and took one of the pancakes from the stack by the stove. "It was embarassing watching it. We need to make Luna swear she'll never act ever again."
"It's surprising because she does so well when she's trying to get her way," Draco said as she sprinkled some chocolate chips into the next batch of pancakes. "Like when she's fake crying at home, I actually believe her."
"That's because she's just trying to get her way," Shinlynn said after she swallowed a bite and washed it down with milk. "I think she does it for attention."
"Luna was born to be a bitchy diva."
"Ain't it the truth."
