People will always assume what they want to, instead of thinking of what was really going on sadly.

I personally would recomend the high school, but, I am also bias. It is where the soup kitchen is, so it makes for easy access to free food I didn't have to scavenge, it has the inventory rooms, which also aids in obtaining items without scavenging, and without leaving the building. It is also protected, more so than most the other buildings.
