Driving and Cell Phones

It's illegal in some places to drive and talk on a cell phone.  Well, technically, that's not true.  It's illegal to drive a car and talk on a cell phone handset.  Personally, I think that's ridiculous.  I think this law was created as a reaction to moronic public outcry.  I don't think it makes one bit of difference if you're talking on a handset ( Read more... )

Which is exactly why when I drive in Chicago, I have my phone firmly planted against my ear...unless, of course, my phone rings. I'd love to get pulled over because a cop thought I was on the phone and then take my phone bill to court and prove that I wasn't on the phone.

I've seen people reading while driving and they scare me too. Maybe they should design a car where the driver is completely separated from all other potential passengers, simliar to that of a chauffer in a limo. Now that would be cool. Never hearing the kiddies. Never having to pass back another bag of pretzels. LOYL.
