//And I lit a fire that wouldn't go out / Until it consumed the walls and roof of this house//

Oh god, I feel so bad for what's going in in Iran right now. I had no clue that was happening until yesterday. I don't watch the news, I haven't watched The Daily Show lately, I don't use Twitter or Facebook, and I only heard about it from a friend. I know I'm horribly sheltered and live in a stupid bubble, but I wish there was something I could do ( Read more... )

AS YOU ALREADY KNOW MY OPINION ON AGREEING WITH THE WHOLE WE FEEL LAME OVER LIKING YUGIOH, ANYWAY.

I'm eight volumes into Duelist season of the manga and since its' the Duelist Kingdom arc, it totally makes sense as to why there's a bunch of card games, which I know you know. ♥ BUT, even though I'm almost certain that the manga will have tons of card games here on out, I seriously think the reactions and the games themselves are going to be more interesting than the anime. Maybe it's because well, we already had seven volumes dedicated to showing you the 'main' good characters, who they are, and TONS of development already. THEN, even with the duels, the characters are still developing which really, really rocks since we got like. No development at all in the anime.

OKAY I NEED TO STOP RAMBLING BUT WHATEVER. I hope the Malik thing is more interesting in the manga anyway. : dies : UHM. I. I dunno what else to say. SO I'LL GO INTO A CORNER NOW. ♥ you is the only other person I know who I can ramble about yugioh so deal, woman, DEAL! ( ... )

fsdfas Your iiiiicon. ♥♥♥! I'd upload more Yu-Gi-Oh! icons but... I kind of don't have the room anymore. Sigh.

I was hoping the manga did more than just the card games! I mean, I know they happen and I don't mind them, really, but the anime really liked in development and... It was just people standing around playing card games, and looking at the overall plot was just wtf. But the first seven volumes were awesome so I have hope for the manga! (I wonder if there's any more Kisara in the manga, but proooobably not. >__>; Siiigh.)

ALSO, IN THE MANGA I BET ANZU HAS REAL BOOBS AND SHE DOESN'T DRESS LIKE A SLUT AND SHE ACTUALLY HAS PERSONALITY.

Malik could have been neat, but... he was really lame in the anime. I dunno. *dies* Yami!Bakura sort of fails too, just not as much, but I have a feeling he fails some in the manga too. BUT I NOTICE IN THE MANGA HE'S ACTUALLY THERE MORE THAN IN THE ANIME. Like geez, in Duel Monsters... didn't they have him in the very first episode just randomly there at school, and then after that you don't see ( ... )

Really? I REALLY HOPE THERE'S MORE KISARA asdfas I feel dorky for liking Kisara/Seto so much but omg.

MAI CAN KEEP THE SLUTTY STUFF TO HERSELF. I mean, Mai's a cool character and it's totally fine she wears weird clothing, because it's not like all the other girls are doing it! (Unless Shizuka is lame in the manga too, oh dear.) Plus, you know, Anzu looks really cute in that sweater and coat, so it's really annoying that she didn't get to wear it in the anime. ;_;

The only time Malik was interesting was in the backflashes. And the motorbike thing was cute, even if the Abridged series is totally right ("Not even Boston can make Malik look manly."). A-and if Malik is better in the manga maybe Ishizu is cooler too. D:

From what I've heard, the Iranians want people to support them in spirit, but don't want any interferences/aren't asking for any outside money. (My assumption is a good part of the world even supporting them with words = pressure on their theocracy since such a collapse of foreign relations isn't positive for any country.) I don't think I've met a single person who isn't appalled by Ahmadinejad's "they're like upset football fans!" comment. WHERE ARE PEOPLE GETTING THOSE ICONS THOUGH? I SEE THEM EVERYWHERE, BUT WHEN I CLICK THE CREDIT LINKS CAN NEVER FIND THEM.

I knew they didn't want any interference (seriously, that would just make things so much worse--apparently McCain was talking about how he wanted us to go over there and... DX So glad he isn't president, we don't need another freakin' war) and... kind of figured I wouldn't be able to donate. But still, I feel bad I can't really do much. Ah man, I'm honestly not sure. I thiiink it comes from the ontd_political posts, and people just kind of make them and put them in the comments and stuff. I got this one from a friend, mostly because I thought it was really pretty.

Agreed so hard on the staying out of it. If we got too involved, they would start blaming foreigners instead... and the whole situation would lose it's focus. Plus, our military generally isn't well liked there, they're often sited as one of the reasons why this theocracy took power in the first place, etc... McCain's comments are making me facepalm.

I wish I could do something as well, but when half way across the world, it seems impossible...

I gotta say, I've never been a YGO person. IDK. I think it's because Yugi has such stupid hair, really :( I did, however, play the card game tons with this kid who I used to babysit, so even though I always hated the anime, I was a closet fan of the card game and did geeky things like read up on strategies online, rofl. YES, SO I COULD BEAT AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD. (In my defense, I think I was probably thirteen or fourteen at the time - when was YGO popular again?)

Ugh, writer's block. I'm feeling it these days, too. I say you forget about quality and just push through it anyways - I definitely forced out the last story I wrote, and I while I don't exactly love it, it's at least... out there, and writing it wasn't AS painful as I'd originally expected. Plus, you can always go back later and fix the places you knew you went wrong, since the first draft is never perfect anyways!
