... haha, I'm pretty much the only person I know who didn't like The Mummy. I agree with many of your points actually, but the first time I saw it was earlier this year, so it doesn't have the same nostalgic quality to it that it does for others. (So to me it was more-or-less random action. Impressive effects, yes, but that's really the only good thing I can say about it. They didn't even try to stay true to Egyptology [other than the whole cat bit] and most of the characters ended up being face-palm-y to me) I really have no desire to watch the sequels.
The animated LOTR is hilarious, even if it's not intended to be... I know it suffers from the animation of it's time, but when you add in scenes like Orcs singing about happily whipping things, I just... it's really impossible to take it seriously. D:

The only reason I gave The Mummy a second chance--and the reason why I can say I like it--is because it has Brendan Fraser. If it was anyone else I'd probably not enjoy it nearly as much, but Brendan is funny and I can ignore the shitty plot and the lack of anything really Egypt and the unrealistic acting for him. I mean, uh, I can actually say I mildly enjoyed Journey to the Center of the Earth, and it's seriously only because Brendan was in it. Yeah, Eowyn is just so freakin' awesome. I got really pissed off about reading an article that said she wasn't all OMG FEMINIST CHARACTER because what the hell, she's a strong female character that actually dooooes things and isn't just involved in a romantic relationship. She wouldn't even have to pretend to be a male solider to be awesome in my book because I like Galadriel too, but the fact she actually gets to fight certainly helps. I never watched that much Buffy, but I always liked Giles on it.

The Half-Blood Prince? Gaaah! I was so whiny when I left the cinema. The ending was such a disappointment ;; I know you can't fit the whole book in a whole movie but still.... Oh well, at least Won-Won was as awesome as always. ♥

ARGH I DON'T KNOW. The Harry Potter movies kind of suck at explaining the really important things. I know it's really hard to cram those long books into one movie per book, but... the ending of the third movie sucks so much. D: They don't explain ANY of the Marauder stuff properly! I think they also do a poor job of showing the true evil of Voldemort...not that he's über scary in the books, but if I just had the movies to go by I would not GET why everyone in the wizarding world peed their pants at the mentioning of the guy. >__>;
I LOVE RON THOUGH YAY RON. Ron makes everything better. :D
