Hetalia ♦ It's definitely an entertaining series and I love your new user pics, but yes, some of the fangirls are a little... hmm.

... and, I know some people dislike hearing negative thoughts when people feel "like shit," but others like me don't mind it, and sometimes it's good for your mental health to write things out? In other words, if you ever feel like ranting, it's your journal, so people could just skip past of it if they dislike it?

I feel a little bad because, since "getting back" into the fandom I have yet to really read the comics I missed (but I read the new ones posted on the comm) and I haven't watched much of the anime, I just pay attention to fanworks. BUT I'LL TOTALLY GET BACK TO THE COMICS WHEN I'M NOT BUSY. And thank you. It's really hard not to just make them all Hetalia icons aaah wow can I just get a thousand icons instead of 115? *shot*

I was actually going to make a post about "my shittiness" because I honestly need some advice right now, but before I just felt too crappy for that (anything on the subject would turn into a huge, ranty, incoherent mess) and I did get my ranting out to friends on MSN and that helped. I'll probably still make a post about it later because I really need some advice, but I don't feel like it right now. *dies*

I know that there is manga for at least one of the Fire Emblem games--the fourth, I think. I was linked to a scanslations site once that had the first four chapters of it up.

Ha, that's pretty cool! The Legend of Zelda manga is starting to get officially translated in English, so I wonder if they would actually get around to Fire Emblem.

Well, if it was for the fourth game (I never bookmarked the site, I discovered when I went to check just now), that's the one they just re-released on the DS in the States, so it's possible!

♥! I normally don't fall in love with fandoms and squee over them so much--I like things but I usually don't squee over it for TWO MONTHS, I'm generally rather calm--so I think I might be going insane. OH WELL, THE HISTORY NERD IN ME IS IN LOVE.

It's sooooo much fun to be a part of the fandom though! It's like a constant sugar high! I found it over the summer when I started watching anime more frequently again. I had watched all of K-On and my best friend tried to get me in to Kuroshitsuji and even though it was like everything I love in life I wanted something light and stumbled on to Hetalia.

The worst part though is being a history minor. I did my entire minor last semester and every class whenever we talked about inter-country relations I'd just have images of the characters and try not to laugh lol.

Aaaah it totally is a sugar high! Like a week ago I found this kind of dead RP and everyone's posts were in such character and I cracked up because it was so hilarious. And I looooove all the fanart! I have so much of it saved. ♥ I haven't had so much fun with fanart since I was really into Digimon~

Pffft I was having fun with history long before Hetalia. Like, for some reason, while learning about the French Revolution I imagined some of the important players as characters from Gundam Wing--it helped remember which name referred to each person! I'm so bad with names--and it was soooo hard not to start randomly laughing about some of the things. And imagining historical figures as silly little caricatures just amuses me, though I know that's probably "incorrect" of me. But, for example, I can't help but imagine all those Greek philosophers as just crazy nut jobs that just wander around everywhere blabbing nonsense to random people that no one understands. Okay, I know one of them was kind of an actual nut job, but. And people like

I HATE FRYING FOOD, TOO :( thank god for stir-fry... lol. even though that's technically frying too, it's a lot easier. most of the time, i'm a big fan of the microwave. either that, or foods that require no cooking :D
