To put it plainly, I've turned into one of those people that I can't stand, and it's just gotta stop. I'm phoning it in, I'm buying time with private posts, and god, if that's not a huge flashing neon sign, I don't know what is. Because it's time, god, I'm so far past that that I can't even see it anymore.
So let's see if I can do this right without getting bitchy or sappy, though I will admit the temptation is pretty strong for both. There's been good and there's been bad but at the end, it was a fun hobby and an interesting exercise in perspective, in several senses of the word. I came in a brand new baby U2 fan, barely knowing anything about Larry or the rest of them, and if there's one thing this has done, it's cemented my enjoyment and admiration for U2 and my respect for Larry as a person; and for that reason alone I'm holding onto the option to choose his replacement.
Now the part where you mention people and inevitably piss someone off, but what the hell. Thank you to
Joey and
Anais and
Dave and
Elizabeth and
Bryce and
Charlie and
Kathy and
Ricky (by the way, aww!) and
Meryl and
James and
Mike,
Ross and
Ryan and
Gary. Some of you guys I've known from the beginning and some are newer but you're the ones I'll really miss.
Natalia, you were the best platonic Russian girlfriend Larry never had, and as far as I'm concerned, we should only be so lucky to have future generations of Vodianova-Portman/Mullen children taking over the world ;)
Besides some really fun and memorable in character interaction, it's really great too, that I got so lucky to have real friendships come out of a game of pretend.
Rachel,
Colin,
Viggo,
Dan, and especially
Adam, Larry loved each of you so much here and so do I [here], and well, you know. Damn you all for leaving ;) Kidding. Sorta.
And that just leaves
Nathan. And anything I say is going to be pathetic and incomplete; but I can tell you that if everyone had as much fun doing this crazy mbp rp thing as we have, well, it'd be a lot more popular game. All these years in, I can't quite take in all the worlds we've explored and the crazy things we've tried, and what a gift it's all been. And Larry and Nathan, god, I wish I had the words. I loved them so, I still do, I always will. Though thank god, that's not ending, I sure as hell wouldn't be going anywhere without you.
So I think that's about it. I'll be reachable at sullenmullen@gmail.com for whatever reason I can't imagine, and um...take care, be good to each other and all that good shit.
