Yaaay! The Emily is drawing and socializing!

It's a 1337 moment! W007!

Glad you've come out of your shell.
It seems like you'll be back in like a week or so, that you aren't staying for a whole year =( :Pouts in a Burtonesque but not nearly as cute fashion:

I am indeed socializing. It is amazing. I actually had fun interacting with other human beings! ::gasp::

::le gasp:: indeed! and... and it didn't hurt? So this "socialization" thing is ok to practice (in moderation, of course) afterall?

...Isn't that something?
Hmmm... what will they think of next?

Emily the social butterfly. Weird stuff, man.

I'm really happy to see that things are going a little better over there Em. You sound much happier!

And your uncle rocks in that case. It sounds as if he has decent taste and I approve of him ;)

Take pictures of the photos you have been drawing!! I want to see them! At the moment I am really unsure about coming up for Halloween, for some various reasons :( So I need to get back to you on that, unfortunately. But if anything, maybe I will just come up and stay with you personally instead, rather than the previous planned group thingy.

We shall see!

Yeah, my uncle is cool, I've decided. It was funny though, we accidentally stumbled upon the subject of Eddie when he was talking about academic advisors in Hawthorne High and how ineffectual they are. So I interjected with the "Look, I advise you to get a career, what can I say?" I didn't expect him to get the reference, I didn't even think about the fact that maybe he would think I'd come up with the quote on my own. Instead, instantly he was like, "Oh, Eddie Izzard!" (and he did pronounce it "is-HARD" by the way). I was actually really impressed at how accurately he managed to quote portions of Eddie's acts from memory. And he also said something to the effect that Eddie is uniquely talented and has managed to carve out his own niche in comedy. I think that's awesome.

i am glad to hear that the hallmate situation is looking up. and who might these two ppl your drawing pictures for be??? ::has guessed but wants to know if she's right::

and it's kinda funny you mention about the british and their bad coffee, cuz for my history class i just read an article about the history of coffee in england. i could explain the historical background of exactly why the british can't make coffee. but i don't want to bore you. i will eagerly await more info from the emi ::huggles::

exciting! the history of coffee in England! No, really... I'm curious, what is there to know?

and as for the pictures, you are being nosy and prying into things which are not to be known by man nor beast... well, at least not for now anyway :o)

i don't think i can give the whole story, but the long and the short of it (wooo, bad phrase) is that coffee never *really* made it over to england from mainland europe, where it was very popular among the upper classes. it was always an upper class good in england, but even then, not drunk very often. so they never really figured out any of the better ways to make it, and generally bought it already ground instead of fresh, etc. when the lower classes finally were able to get their hands on it, manufacturers put in a lot of other stuff into the ground up coffee to save money, like tree bark and chicory. so the coffee they were drinking was yucky to begin with. various economic upturns and downturns later, and due to the continued low price of tea, coffee never became truly popular in england. so they never figured out how to make it right. my advice? find a relatively cheap french cafe and get coffee there. the french know their coffee ( ... )

yay for getting along with hallmates! it definately makes accidentally dropping half your towel on the way to the bathroom in front of a number of them easier (that happened a little less than a week ago) lol

Awww thanks for your concern about the bunny. She seems to be doing well now, but what happened was after we had her spayed like a week ago, she wasn't acting herself and was avoiding food and Mom was actually scared that Fuzzy wouldn't make it. :*( But Mom now says that she is confident of Fuzzy's recovery, though only after numerous trips to the vet.
