Has anyone ever realized that people act differently around some people than they do around others? For example, a girl could say to one small group of friends that she hates another girl, which is reasonable, mind you, but then goes and hangs out and makes jokes and acts like a best friend to that girl, whom she originally said she hates. okay so theres a perfect song that would go soooo well with this

it wouldve explained everything so well
anyway yea people are two-faced
but thats how we need to be to survive the social jungle
people cant see the mask because it becomes who we are
i dont think theres a such thing as there being a true self that each of us have
we have qualities that get tapped into when were with certain people that we choose to bring out in an effor to impress them, spur on conversation with them, mesh with them a little better
i dont think of it as a mask we put on but a part of ourselves we reveal
and no one ever sees the whole of us
i doubt if we can even see the whole of ourselves a good amount of the time
