Como estas? Have you deployed yet? By the thing you mentioned here you like to eat it sounds like it. What the heck is Gluhwein anyway? I'm in San Diego, CA. I teach first grade at a public school. I've been very busy that's why I had not answered your question. Sorry it took me so long. I have a friend on his first deployment in the middle east. I believe in the power of prayer, so I pray for you guys. Hope all is well with you. :o) Do you still have family in Monterrey?

Yes, I deployed about 2 weeks ago. I am in Germany. I love trying new foods. I am addicted to good tastes. :)
Gluhwein is a german holiday drink. It is made out of cheap table wine, mixed in with spices like cinnamon, clove, sugar, orange, orange peel, (recipes vary within Germany). It is served warm, and it is Oh So Wonderful! We're all growing addicted to it!!! It is also cheaper than soda, so might as well... :)
Thank you for the prayers, we will need as many as we can. As you know, I am at Landstuhl, we receive all the injured soldiers. It is very tough to see these kids (even though I am 25, most of these guys are younger than me!) in MY uniform shred to pieces and missing limbs and burnt away. It is very tough... They're kids, and they're heroes, and I am very very proud of them. The whole hospital staff is very proud of them.
I still have most of my family in Monterrey. My grandma, and like 90% of my uncles and aunts, cousins, etc.
