A month in Ottawa? Will be awesome to see you, if I'm actually in Ottawa!

Um... grocery store... best choice would be the Hartmans at Bank and Somerset. That would be about 4 blocks east to Bank, and then 5 (shorter) blocks south to Somerset.

Yes, surely we'll figure something out. But... my travel schedule is hell.

Also, foms' description of further places to shop is very good.

Hartman's is closest. It's not a great supermarket but it's ok. It has the disavantage of being a downtown supermarket with all that that tends to imply with respect to prices and freshness of produce ( ... )

I got Con_girl to read this and she reminded me to say that there are no really good croissants available in Ottawa.

Chinatown stores stay open until 19:00 or 20:00 but almost all of the Byward Market closes at 18:00 (Except for Aubrey's and La Bottega, on Thursdays and Fridays).

As you know, Bob, they don't sell beer and wine in depanneurs, in Ontario. The nearest The Beer Store (www.thebeerstore.ca) is 515 Somerset Street West (between Bay and Lyon, two-an-a-half blocks east of Bronson). Hard booze is from the Liquor Control Board of Ontario stores (www.lcbo.com). The big one, with variety, is at 275 Rideau Street (at King Edward).

I'd love to have your over for dinner one night -- we'll figure it out. Also, My bride and boy will come for the weekend of the 25th, so maybe we can do something with the Peanut?

If you aren't too busy or pooped, maybe you can come to the play!

And yes, getting together on the 25th sounds delightful. :D

It looks like it's about a 40-minute walk from the office, so I'm going to do what I can to come on Thursday. Can I buy a ticket at the door?

"I inject you with words, from my mouth." I might have to use that. Not sure in what context yet, but I'll figger it out.
