I haven't updated here in forever because I promised myself that when I came back, it wouldn't be to rant. Of course, the only time I want to post is when I'm upset, so ... but today I'm not upset. Yesterday was another story, but today's everything will be okay ( Read more... )

OK so I'm going to repeat what I've been repeating to my sister-in-law for the past 2 months: Your baby, your pregnancy, your choice. Everyone else can go suck eggs (I've added in "Your body" when talking to her, because it was appropriate, but you can pass that part on to Yer Bride).

Yes, we are all here to listen to you rant, should that need be, and hand you the beer, when that need will be, and that's exactly what this forum is for. No judgment, no bias, no condemnation, just love, strength, support and virtual beers (*points to icon*).

But really? The jeans thing? Are you sure he's your son?? :-)

I know, right, with the jeans? The killer is that he's got a body that's *made* for jeans. But he really doesn't care. It's Dockers and sweats all the way.

One day someone is going to push me to far and there's going to be your voice in the back of my head saying: Suck Eggs. And that person will be surprised.

Thanks on all counts. We were really lucky to have a kid like ours, too -- he (often) makes parenting easy.

I'm sorry I never had the opportunity to get to know him myself when he was younger. He is a keeper. :-)

I love the idea that they are right there with their personality and we spend the next 20 years getting to know them. I have found this to be so true.

And two kids raised in the same family can turn out vastly different. We do our best and hope for the best.
