the question is really do i want to spend a whole lot of money and time to do this degree which i won't finish (if i bother finishing it. i didnt finish my last one) til im 30

It doesn't sound much like you want to do it, hun. If you go into it not wanting to be there, you almost certainly won't finish it. Did you apply because you wanted to do it, or because you were bored in what you're currently doing? Because if it's the latter, perhaps it's not the best idea. If you do want to do it - I noticed they have theatre and music majors in the BA section - then go for it.

Mum says she'd be happy to have you stay, but she has no idea when my brothers will be about. If you can cope with them, and have your own sleeping bag, then you can come up any time from the 21st.

I second what Judi says. If you don't really want to do it, don't. You don't need a degree just to have a degree.
