Actually, an ice day. This is lovely coz I've been sick for the past two days, like with a fever and everything, not my usual malingering. And today I'm well enough to go back, but it's horrible icy outside and I have a whole bunch of unwatched Veronica Marss plus chicken and I was so tempted to sick-out again. It is so metal to get a snow day after being sick two days. \m/

Henry has had two days of boot-walking, and is being a giant baby about it. I'm going to have to xanax him with a bunch of peanut butter so he doesn't go into histrionics when I go out to finish the shoveling. How are your dwarf polar bears handling the weather?

I am sure that Henry feels that it is very inconsiderate of you to put boots on him instead of, say, warming up the outside.

Edison does not just resent this weather, he resents us for this weather. When we open the door to the back yard he takes two steps out, turns around, and gives us a disgusted look -- "no, no, not this outside, I wanted the other outside. The warm one ( ... )

I got to see Henry poop on a near-30 degree incline this morning, since that was the only non-permafrost surface he could find. My poor little desert bloom. I must make him some macaronis.

It is snowing. Last night we had freezing rain. I came home from class covered in ICE. Nobody is doing anything about snow removal on roads or sidewalks. And yet, my ass is at work. No fair!

exactly. Not only are we open but I had to walk over to another unit to do scanning, thus risking personal injury.

Or, you know, the Jewish equivalent, which will undoubtedly be someone's mom making me feel guilty about every selfish, inconsiderate decision I've ever made.
OMG, that sounds like my dad! Who, btw, I got into an argument with last night -- though it was a constructive argument. We differed in opinion on something (ha! surprise) and I had the ballses to tell him: "You have a different opinion, it doesn't mean you're right." It sorta shut him up. :-)

I managed to shut my dad up *once* with "You can't tell me that I don't feel the way I feel." The sweetness of that victory still lingers.
