A few things

1)  All customs are going out at once (close to 500)  Because people double ordered and what not it got so crazy to try and split it up into two ordering sessions.  That and we ran out of snaps Wednesday night (well not totally but we did have to reorder to finish) and they won't be here until Monday.

2)  If there are ANY of you guys ( Read more... )

This is off topic and I do apologize, but I juuust got my order today and one of my diapers is missing. I think it was stolen out of the package; it was half-open when I got it. I'm not bent up about it, but I thought I should let you know. :/

I've only had trouble ever with one of my sumbuns AIOs, and I'm pretty sure it's because the outer is flannel. It wicks pretty bad around the legs if she wears it longer than a couple hours.

Yep, one of the reasons I have pulled every flannel print I had and either donated them or put them in my private stash. (yes I have one of those) Flannel is SOOOOO likely to wick!

It's so cute tho! I just use it as a daytime at home dipe.

Oh, and I would totally love to work for you if we lived in TX, but we're being stationed in WA come the end of the year, so it wouldn't be a reasonable arrangement, lol.

Diaper leaks with RAIO's, AIO's and Printed pockets are sometimes hard to pinpoint. Anytime you mix cotton and fluid you have a higher chance of something leaking for sure. Cotton's nature is too absorb fluid. BUT we have diapers here that we used for a year that still don't leak and believe it or not I have/had a pretty tiny stash. Then I have one that ALL WAYS leaked ( ... )

Like Summer said, I find that my printed pockets leak around the legs (the cotton absorbs all the urine). Only a couple of my solids do that, but most of them work out just fine. We have gotten all of them figured out and now make sure that she doesn't wear certain ones for any length of time. Too bad, because I LOVE some of the prints that we have. I have noticed that my newer ones don't leak nearly as bad as my older ones do. Either way, I love Sumbuns and will use them until the little one doesn't need them anymore.

Thanks for posting my question. I have no problem being identified.

Corey wore one of his newer ones that I thought was leaking yesterday, and I had no problems with leakage, so that's positive! I was relieved. He wore it for probably about 2.5 hours. Phew!

I wonder if I should just send you the Mickey and Pirate diaper for you to look at so you can see if there are any visible problems. _stacy had a good point about them maybe being a bit too big on Corey, though they seem to fit him perfectly while the medium is on the small side. I don't think we get as much bunching when he's wearing the medium I have (though the rise is too short and he's almost at the end of the snaps).

Should I send you the diapers so you can check them out and see what is going wrong? The newer ones don't seem to be having the same problem anymore. I hate the fact that I can't use them out of the house because they are adorable. (I think when I first contacted you about the problems, they were under your warranty... I don't know if they still are.) I hope they're fixable! Let me know if I should do that and I'll send them next week sometime.

I still haven't gotten a DC or confirmation that the shirts have been shipped. Please send me a status. If they aren't in the mail yet, I'm thinking of just canceling and asking for a refund. It's been well over two months now.

Sorry it took me a littler longer to respond to your comment than normal. We are pretty much devoting all of the time we have to sewing and snaps.

I can't wait to get my trainers!

We haven't had any problems with our relatively new RAIO, although Cole's been asking for disposables pretty much full-time (ah!) so we haven't really been using them lately.

I guess I don't get the part of the question where she talks about unstuffing, since your AIO are closed, I feel like I'm missing something. (unbunching the stuffing)

Also, I wonder if the bunching comes from wrong sizing, since I can't imagine bunching be a possiblity for us, since the rise of the diaper, and width is always filled out, there hasn't been an option for the diaper to bunch up?

like I said, I haven't used any of your diapers for a long period of time, b/c Cole's always outgrown them within a few months and I've bought new... so, maybe i shouldn't speak...

I'm the person who wrote to Summer about the leaky AIO. By unbunching them, I mean that I do it as best as I can by trying to straighten out the bunching with the diaper being closed. Does that make sense? I know I can't pull the stuffing all the way out to the ends if it gets bunched in the middle because the ends are closed.

Corey is on the small side. The medium I have fits him but the rise is very low. I don't know if it leaks as badly as my two older diapers do... I'll have to check. (Lately, it's been on him for an hour or so during breakfast and before baths.) But you may be very right-- maybe it is a sizing thing. I don't think it bunches and leaks as badly as the larges.

I don't know, I'd like to think that as much time as it costs both Summer and us we shouldn't be getting leaking at all (except, you know, a full diaper).

i wonder too, if it may just not be absorbent enough. I know my problem was that around 20 months my son's diapers became unbearable in cloth. i fought it so hard and tried and tried to make it work and bought tons of larges to force it to work and double stuffed... but still, once they hit that point (it's like they wake up one day and figure out how to empty their whole bladder) there's no way I think cloth can truly handle it w/o leaking. i know it's why our grandmother's had us potty trained at 18 months :)

anyway, i guess if that was the issue though, there wouldn't be bunching and you'd notice it in multiple types of diapers (although AIOs are going to be less absorbent than pockets or fitteds)
