World Cosplay Summit Report - Part 1

Alright. I've put this off long enough. Just a warning -- if you're looking for fancy pictures and videos like in Rynn's reports... you're not going to find them in mine. I've always been too lazy for that sort of thing, and I put a heavy emphasis on story-telling, rather than just relaying the basics.

The Shinkansen sounds like BART here (local rail transit system).. it does the same thing with requiring the ticket when you go in and when you go out. Gotta keep the fare cheaters at bay :)

Looking forward to more :)

Yay, I'm so glad you decided to post your memoirs in written form too ~ I love reading these :3!!

I've always heard Tokyo is completely different than our big cities here in the states... particularly the fact that it is so clean! That just boggles my mind to no end, I really hope to see it myself someday :3. I know a teensy bit of japanese (がちょっと... ^^;) but I have a feeling I'd end up making a fool of myself no matter how hard I tried. I LOL'd at the one chicken finger incident; I'd be too embarrassed to go back and order more too!! xD

So only a few select teams got to go to the press event in Tokyo? Wow, I didn't realize that! How exciting that you got to be a part of that ~ while the competition aspect of WCS is obviously the focal point, the press and parade events are what intrigue me that most. We do masquerades here in the states all the time, but the extra events stand out to me as more like one-of-a-kind experiences. So cool! <3

Great read. Really surprised you don't update often, you really should!

Also, buying from the source, it's so surprising isn't it! *jealous*

I await for Part 2. :D

PS:
I think I'm too used to the whole feeding your ticket to exit the platform, because that's how it is here.
