[Her handwriting is more terse than usual, pressed hard into the paper. Unhappy Sumi is Unhappy.]

Has anyone seen a small, black bird wandering around? It is a chocobo: bipedal, flightless, and responds to "baby" and "feather."

*kagerou, *lea, auntie sumi is concerned, *aniki, cutting to the chase, chocobaby

I'm sorry, I don't think I recognise your handwriting. This is Kagerou, and Night's chocobo is with me. If you know how we could make it more comfortable, please do tell me.

This is Sumi. I was there to assist Night when the baby hatched. I have a nest box that I made for him when Night was temporarily in the hospital, which I can bring to you.

Is the little one all right?

He seemed pretty shaken, but he's fine now. If you could bring the box, I'm sure he'd appreciate it. He could use something familiar.

I'll bring it by. I have a few other odds and ends that he enjoys playing with, so I'll bring those as well.

We've got him, Sumi, it's okay. I even still have some of those berries left over, so he'll be in good hands. If Night takes too long coming back, though, we may have to take him to the shelter; we're not really set up for long-term chocobo-care.

If there is some delay in Night's return, I can care for the chocobo until then. Night showed me how to tend to him. I'm glad to know that he is with friends and not lost and frightened.

Sounds like a chicken.

It is not a chicken. It is a chocobo. The adults can reach a height of at least seven feet.
