also, why doesnt my spell checker accept 'arse'? arse is so a real word.

'Arse' is a good and proper English word. Maybe your spell-checker is set to the fake language of American English.

Yeah I know, sorry. I was in the middle of changing it all around when dissertation and exams hit. It's one of the many things I intend to sort out over the summer.
