Saturday: busy, busy, busy. Rest.

dh has been totally stressed over work & we're both stressed over this stupid house so Friday I booked the two of us into a nice hotel for Saturday night. Saturday we charged around getting done whatever could be done then we threw some things into bags, gave the kids $$ for pizza and were out the door

Sounds like a marvelous evening! I laughed out loud with the coming home and counting kids. robbyhiggins parent's have a cat and when she had litters, she would only be content when there were three in the basket. As soon as there were less than that, she was searching around for more.

it's true about counting heads though. I just do it automatically. I think it comes from visiting theme parks where it's the only way to survive the day. and if someone isn't there to be counted you're asking, where's so & so? even if they're only in the bsmt.

Sounds like you and hubby had a fabulous time! Taking some personal couple time certainly is a great antedote for stress and having no kids around makes it even better!
