Apparently he didn't think to bring his brain with him when he came to do the work at your house! Glad he at least is willing to pay the replacement costs. Sheesh.

The electrician was brought in by the contractor (I don't even have the electrician's telephone number) so it was the contractor I called and yelled at and it's the contractor who has offered to pay.
But yeah, what a maroon.

If he was gonna forget about plugging it back in, he shoulda put a piece of paper on it saying "PLUG BACK IN"! Sheesh is right!

How about taping a piece of paper saying, "plug it back in" to his forehead?!?
