dd#1, dd#2 & ds had their next belt test in Karate and everyone passed. the girls are now advanced blue belts and ds is now a brown belt.

he's chuffed because with the brown belt comes the classic black gi (uniform) which, as everyone knows, is a total chick magnet.

I never got a black gi when I got my brown belt. :(

this place is really in tune with kids and they know how to keep them enthusiastic about the program. for the little ones they give out special stars that you can put on your uniform for participation, attendance, energy - that kind of thing. for the older kids they run special camps and activities and have all kinds of stuff that they can work toward...
and hey,
who wouldn't want a black gi?
