Summary: There are some people in life that make you laugh a little louder, smile a little bigger, and just live a little better.
Donghae was lying on his side, his body curled up slightly at the inviting warmth from the quilt around him. One hand was tucked underneath the pillow that was supporting his head, the other just laid limply in front of his chest. His eyes were shut, breathing was even, and all the signs that showed that the young man was asleep are evident. He was smiling in his sleep. He was dreaming.
“Hannie, is that you?”
“Donghae?”
“…”
“It really is you!” The younger man chirped excitedly and launches himself into the arms of his lover, giggling. “I missed you.” Donghae buried his face into the other man’s neck and breathed in the familiar scent. It smelled so warm and inviting, so real.
“I missed you too, Hae.”
Donghae could hear the smile in Hangeng’s soothing voice as he held the younger man tighter to him. He sighed contentedly and laid his head against Hangeng’s shoulder as he wished, even in his dream that this was true, that this moment would never end.
As sudden as it started, the dream ended. Donghae’s eyes fluttered open, the happiness was still bubbling inside of him, his heart was thumping heavily, and his lips were still curved up in a wide smile. However, before reality could set in that everything was back to square one, Hangeng was still out of town, Donghae felt arms wrapped around his waist and warm even breaths tickling his neck.
He snapped his head around so fast that he woke the person sleeping with his arms around the younger man.
“Hannie, is that you?” Donghae asked even when he saw clearly the person’s face.
Hangeng blinked and snorted, mind still hazed with sleep. “Donghae?”
The smaller man grinned at the déjà vu moment but was too consumed by his impulse as he turned and pounced on his still clueless boyfriend. “I missed you!” His voice muffled, as he nuzzles his face against Hangeng’s chest. It wasn’t a dream Donghae was experiencing previously, Hangeng really was there.
“Wha-“ Hangeng blinked the blurriness from his eyes and put an arm hesitantly around Donghae’s shoulders. It took about a moment for the taller man to remember he’d come back to their home and had climbed into their bed, bringing his boyfriend against his chest as he drifted off to sleep. He smiled and brought both arms to hug the man in his arms as knowledge flooded him. “I missed you too, Hae.”
Donghae adjusted his position then. Arms around Hangeng’s waist, one leg slung over the taller man’s thighs, his face rested in a way so that his lips barely touch the other’s neck, he shuts his eyes and let out a contented sigh. “I love you.”
Hands roved his back before bringing him closer to the chest of his lover. The smaller man felt a kiss at the top of his head and heard an almost inaudible whisper.
I love you too.

A/N: A super short little update here, but I kinda liked the HanHae in here better than any other I've written. *shrugs* Hehe~ Nonetheless, I would like to bring all of your attention to this little HanHae community that melodyprower11 and I have created. It's called the Dancer's Haeven and I would like to invite all HanHae stans out there who loves HanHae as much as we do to join us and spread the HanHae love~ ^^
