Title: Round and round we go (Part 6)
Pairings: HanHae, HaeMi, Qmi, WonKyu
Rating: PG
Summary:Donghae wants Han Geng, but Han Geng has Heechul. Donghae is willing to do whatever it take to get him, but Donghae never expected that 'whatever it took' came with another Heart that was set on him.
Zhoumi snapped awake when his door slammed open, jumping slightly at the sudden noise. He groaned. How long had he been asleep? Not long, he guessed, since his back doesn’t ache at all.
“Siwon?”
The lanky male rubbed sleep from his eyes and looked up to his friend who seemed a little too bewildered-considering the other man was the one who barged into his room. This is his room; surely Siwon didn’t expect to come into his room and expect Heechul to be there, did he? Zhoumi frowned when the other just continued standing there with his eyes huge, arms by his side, posture straight and stiff. “Is anything the matter?”
“Um…” Siwon’s eyes darted everywhere except meeting Zhoumi. “Y-you’re sleeping.”
The other man can only raise a brow at the blatant truth. “Uh, yes I was?”
Zhoumi had almost forgotten about Kyuhyun if the younger man hadn’t shifted on his shoulder. He mumbled somewhere in between ‘Zhoumi’ and ‘noise’ before lifting his head off the manmade pillow. Kyuhyun rubbed his eyes and blinked at the brightness in the room. Turning his head towards where the taller man was looking to, “Siwon?”
Said person scratched the back of his head awkwardly. “-Hi,”
“What were you guys talking about?” Kyuhyun laid his head back onto Zhoumi’s shoulder and said lazily.
“I’m as clueless as you are Kui Xian.” Zhoumi said as a matter-of-factly. “Siwon ah, what is it? You looked like you just saw a ghost when you first came in. Is everything alright?”
“I-“
The three men in the room turned their attention to the door when Donghae suddenly interrupted Siwon. He pushed past the bulky man and took hold of Kyuhyun’s shoulders, lightly shaking the other. “Siwon likes you! Oh my god, I can’t believe that man have to take forever to remember what he’s here for!”
“What?”
Both Zhoumi and Kyuhyun were suddenly wide awake. “Siwonnie, is that true?” Zhoumi beamed at the good looking man. He was fidgeting with both his hands shoved into his pockets, head hanging low. The answer to his question was evident with the burning red at his neck which had spread to his ears. The lanky man then turned to his best friend and elbowed him, grinning. He felt his heart hammering at the excitement the whole situation was bringing him. Kyuhyun was blushing as red as Siwon, Zhoumi can’t help but laugh at them.
“Oh, you two!” He hugged Kyuhyun tightly to him as he cooed laughingly. He stood from the bed and pulled at Siwon’s wrist, ushering him nearer until he sat down next to kyuhyun. “There, I believe this room is just big enough for the two of you right now.”
“Donghai, let’s go, I just thought of some new mandarin phrases I can teach you.” Zhoumi pulled on the younger man’s wrist and the other followed, but not before giving an encouraging smack on Siwon’s shoulder-which earned him a glare and then a grin. He happily followed the pulling force until he was standing outside Zhoumi’s room and in the empty hallway again. It was then that reality came crashing back.
“What’s wrong?”
Zhoumi asked when he’d yanked his hand away from the man. Holding his wrist in his other hand as if he’d been injured by the elder’s hold, Donghae found himself speechless as he desperately fished for an excuse. “Nothing,” He didn’t know where to look with the other man staring down at him with their height difference. So he chose to focus on the buttons on Zhoumi’s polo shirt instead. “Come on. You said you had some new phrases I can learn?”
“Oh yeah,” Donghae heard the smile in the taller man’s tone. He heaved a sigh of relief and followed behind as they walked towards his room. The other man was talking to himself animatedly about the couple they’d just match made-well, to Donghae actually, but since the younger man was too busy engaged in his own thoughts, Zhoumi might as well have been talking to himself.
Donghae envied Siwon and Kyuhyun, at least their feelings were reciprocated. Then he looked forward and caught the back of Zhoumi. He sighed. He cannot lead him on like this. If he doesn’t like Zhoumi, then he’d better tell him, quick.
“Zhoumi ah,”
Said person stopped waving his hands in the air and halted in his tracks. He turned on his heel to the man right behind him. “Yes?”
“I have something I have to tell you.”
“What is it?”
Zhoumi was grinning so widely- clearly still basking in the aftermath of the matchmaking session. This made Donghae feel guilty about what he will do to the bright smile on the other’s face with what he was going to say next.
“I-“
“What are you two doing out here in the middle of the night?”
Both men turned towards the sudden voice, soft and accented. Han Geng had a head peeking out from his room at the two of them. His hair was disheveled with sleep and Donghae finds himself wondering how soft it would feel if he were to run his fingers through them. Mind suddenly diverted from new mandarin phrases, he spoke before the man beside him did.
“Hyung,” Donghae started towards Han Geng. “I need to talk to you.” He walked in short and quick steps to the man who now had stepped out of his room. Even in a simple tank top and black slacks, Han Geng still looked so good.
Donghae suddenly remembered when he reached the door held open for him. He turned to Zhoumi who was left standing alone in the dark corridor. “Don’t worry. We’ll learn those phrases tomorrow.” The smaller man felt less guilty when a smile took over the other’s face. “I promise!” He grinned at the lanky man who grinned back. And at that moment, Donghae finds himself drawn to Zhoumi’s infectious smile.
“Donghae?” Han Geng was still waiting.
“Hyung,” He pushed the elder man inside and closed the door securely shut with a soft click.
