Finally, some more updates about my year! Here's a couple of firsts, and holiday celebrations :)
Illness
Okay, lets talk about something that's not so fun. I was sick a lot during the year, but mostly just common cold/flu, but I eventually started getting sick about every month, and my throat would hurt so much I could barely eat, speak or drink. A few weeks before I moved back home, I got so sick, that I finally had to go to the doctor, and they said that if I had waited a few more days, I could've died! I had a cyst or something in the back of my throat, and I hadn't eaten in days, and I've never been in so much pain in my life! I was slowly being suffocated! The doctor sent me to the ER, and Sina was with me the whole time. I had to get an IV for the first time in my life, needles is the thing I hate most in this world, and I've always said I would refuse to get an IV unless it was a matter of life or death :p I had to get a CAT scan and I had to get about 10 shots in my throat, before I had a minor surgery to remove the cyst. First time I've ever been to the hospital, but I had been in so much pain, I've never been so happy to receive a shot. Sina was with me the whole time, holding my hand :p And after ten days of antibiotics, I recovered. But my throat was sore for weeks after wards, and I'm pretty sure I have to get my tonsils removed, at least if I move back to the US.
Skydiving
Another first, but on a whole different level! In January, Trine decided for her birthday she was going skydiving, and I had thought about doing it for so long, just needed the money, so I jumped at the chance to do it, and it was the experience of a lifetime! We were 7 people, and six of us jumped. When we got to the site we had to sign a bunch of forms, and then we had to wait our turn to get some lessons, before we headed to the small plane. I was first in, which means last out. At least I wasn't scared, otherwise that scenario would suck :p But we all kind of agreed on that when you sit there, on the edge, you didn't feel anything. Just emptiness, it's weird to explain, and people would probably have a hard time understanding that, but it was just so quiet, it was over in a split second, and there I was, soaring over Florida! :D Magnificent view, lots of adrenaline. It took almost 10 minutes and 15 000 feet to get back to the ground, but that was one of the highlights of my life, and I would do it again in a heartbeat!
^^ Trying our best to understand everything we had to sign :p
^^ The birthday girl all excited!
^^ Trine, me and Stine all excited after the jump! :D
Halloween
Lets move over to some of the holidays I celebrated over the year. Halloween was probably the most awesome week ever! Huge parties everywhere, and I've always dreamt of picking out my Halloween costume, and there'd actually be other things than Witch to dress up as. One day, me, Sina, Linda and this Italian guy Luca went to a biiiig Halloween costume store. We all helped eachother pick out outfits, and after a couple of hours it seemed, I ended up with a sexy Pirate. Not that exciting, but I could only afford one (it was $70), and I love Pirates! :D There was one big Halloween party, I think the Mexicans arranged it at a club at one of the Disney Hotels. Almost all of Commons was there, it was awesome, and the afterparty was also awesome. I certainly didn't go home alone that night, I enjoyed Nicolas being dressed up as Adam (as in Adam & Eve lol), so not much clothing to take off, lolol :p
^^ Erik as Harry Potter, me as a Pirate and Linda as a nurse :p I had a pre-party at my place, where a bunch of the Norwegians did our finishing touches to our costumes, and the underage people drank as much liquor we could possibly drink before going out :p
Thanksgiving
Us Merch people were also so lucky that we got invited to an American home to celebrate Thanksgiving like we've heard so much about. We were about 15 I think, who went to Carmen, who sells perfume in our shop about 3 days a week, so we were all pretty close to her. Her and her husband, and her two daughters opened their home for us on Thanksgiving, which we were very greatful about. We ate so much food we could barely walk, and we played Pictionary all night long. It was a great day, and it was nice being away from the Commons for awhile and experience some real family time :)

Christmas
Over Christmas I actually had my parents there, and they had rented an apartment about ten minutes away from where I lived. We had a quiet christmas eve, and christmas morning opening presents. But on the evening of Dec 25th we'd invited all of my merch people over for dinner :) We had a nice time, and I think everyone enjoyed being with a Norwegian family, especially for Christmas, with Norwegian food :)
^^ The day after my parents arrived we went to Magic Kingdom on the 23rd and got in the Christmas spirit :)

St. Pattys Day
On March 17th it was St. Patrick's Day, and of course all the Norwegians went to Bennigans to celebrate! It was an awesome night, got drunk on green beer, danced my ass off, and enjoyed probably some of my last moments with so many awesome people. And in the cab ride back to Commons I argued with Juan, in Spanish! Don't know how I could manage that, but I guess I still have some spanish knowledge left in me :p
