I ran my first half marathon today.  It was so much fun!! I felt good from the start of the race and all the way through to the end.  Not only was this one of the most exciting days ever, but it is also the best birthday present I could have given myself.  And now, on to my finishing time.....

I am on day 3 of week 2.  So far so good. 

I ran my first 10K race on Saturday (6.2 miles for those who do not feel like converting).  This is the longest race I have ran yet.  I felt great through out the entire event.  I finished in 57:18.  My goal was to come in at or under 55 minutes.  So I was a little bummed about that.  But the feeling went away when the results were posted and I ( Read more... )

My son is at work with me right now.  We are heading to the lake when I get out at 5pm.  He is in the conference room with the door closed singing Motley Crue- Shout at the Devil. LOL! 

Josh had his last regular season game.  it was a good one too.  Josh's team scored a run, then the other team scored 7.  then we scored 4, then the other team scored two.  so now it's 5-9, we come back and scored 2 more.  we hold them in the next inning and the score going into the bottom of the 6th is 13-9, us.  our poor pitcher was having an off ( Read more... )

I ran an 8K race last Friday in Trenton.  I finished 7th out of 18 in my age group (20-29) and 124 out of 287 women overall.  Not too bad being that this is the longest race I have ran.  I have only ran 5K and 4 miles races in the past.  I ran the 8K in 43:12.  I was bummbed at my average mile time (8:43) because the last race I ran, a 5K, my ( Read more... )
