It's summer time so it must be time to celebrate Sam Winchester! In the season five finale, we saw Sam come into his own and become the hero we all knew him to be. Therefore, this summer, we wanted to spend some time looking back and seeing how Sam got there.
Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to claim an episode and do one of the following to help us celebrate Sam’s journey:
- Write an episode tag (for our purposes of this project we'll define a tag as a fic that takes place immediately after an episode with direct references to the themes/events of that episode) or even a missing scene from the episode you claim; AU fic allowed
- Create a banner and/or icons using scenes from the episode you claim
- Create a video utilizing footage from the episode you claim
- Come up with another way to celebrate Sam in that episode. Just run it by the mods first so we can give you a yay or nay to pursue it.
We will post the sign-up post this coming Friday, June 25. At that time, anyone interested in participating may sign up for one episode only. To sign up, individuals must simply comment on the sign up post. Episodes will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. We will update the list to reflect which episodes have been taken on a daily basis.
After one week, we will then allow individuals to sign up for multiple eps. There is no limit on how many episodes any one person can sign up for. It is possible to sign up for only one or to take two, three, or even more. Individuals can produce fic, art, or a vid, or any combination of those options.
The overall goal is to have as many episodes taken as possible, so we do encourage people to spread the word and think about how many eps they can commit to. Each episode will have a specific due date, with episode premieres being staggered prior to the season six opener. This way we can reflect on Sam’s journey while we anticipate what is to come in season six.
The posting schedule is posted
