Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
Greetings from the land of no snow this year. We have so called black Christmas this year. Again. Hopefully we'll get snow later.
At the moment I'm waiting ham to get done and reminicing the childhood, or rather teenage Christmasses when whole large family was together and we older ones... mainly my parents, uncle and his wife were up and had midnight ham tasting sessions after we had wrapped last presents. While all my Christmasses since have been blessed and nice, this is still something I miss dearly.
Ah, well.. Now I'm free to get my own traditions, old or new ones. And while I'm fine being on my own, somewhat, I still would very much like to have someone sharing these peaceful moments on the night between 23rd and 24th of December. Weirdly enough though the company wouldn't even need to be a lover. Just someone adult to share these yearly things with.
I've been sick lately. A lot. On sick leave for week and half and still no remarkable healing. Even now my throat is bit sore and my voice is raspy...which is bit much when I'm supposed to work on phone about 7 hours a day. Freaking virus loves to stick with me. And of course the Christmas stress with the huge cleaning spree I had today is not helping. But I've managed to go to work and school during these last two weeks, had few short days, but still. I was there. Hopefully next week is much better because I want to get some good days on my paycheck too.
This year we spend Christmas at home with my two boys. My dad will come to eat with us and spend the evening here. On the 25th we'll have nice day alone and then I return kiddos to their dad. I really need to figure out things to do on 26th. A movie maybe? I haven't been in theatre in Kami knows how many years.
Aaaa... I need to clean up kitchen before I hit the bed.
