You're not the only one who has forgotten about LJ :(

I sometimes open it, and think, "What am I to do here?"

Tumblr has somehow killed old-style blogging, well Tumblr and Twitter to be precise.

lj is just so foreign to me these days. I don't know where anything is anymore! It's true. Tumblr, there's a ot less emphasis on the art itself, it's now all about how many notes and reblogs it can get. It's like, art isn't an option now - my Doctor Who art with get 3x more notes than my Fringe art because Doctor Who is a much bigger fandom.

That's probably the reason why I disabled the Tumblr notifications. One it makes for a very clean dashboard, and more importantly, it allows me the pretense that the HP fandom isn't butchering my banners with comments. As you know, I'm a Harry/Ginny shipper and they're not exactly the favorites of the online HP fandom.

I like that accessibility of Tumblr, but I'm wishing that the users will shift their emphasis on the quality of work and not just who's on the art. Plus, the things that LJ graphic makers are advising against are actually the arts that are very famous in Tumblr. It so unnerved me in the beginning cause I've been so used to the LJ-graphic concrit comms/ LJ art quality.

Ugh I was contemplating doing that the other day. And I for one LOVE Harry and Ginny, but the movies disappointed me so much, they could have been so much better! So I'm quite content to be a book!h/g shipper :P
I totally know what you mean. Lj is more.. idk if you can say trustworthy if that's the right word, but it feels more like your friend. Tumblr jsut reminds me of a massive busy city :P

OH GAHD I have so many requests idek. Well that's a lie I have like 2 but I'm doing exams for the next 2 weeks - after that I have till September off so if you don't mind waiting 2 or 3 weeks I promise you I'll make it for you in my void of spare time :P Unless I get fed up of revision and trying to pass exams, in which case I'll make you one tonight :P
