I saw the movie before reading the book and I hate to say the movie ending, though it had nothing to do with what happened in the book, was a lot different and I liked it better. They left out the whole part about Julio the Potugese man and all the cash fraud...the christmas 'kidnapping' of Bridget by Mark, and the whole bit of romance that ensued. How sweet! I'm pretty sure I just love the fight scene between Mark and Daniel and the later part where Bridget runs after Mark into the snowy streets in her undies. A+ for cinematic romance, Helen.
