You know what's weird? Little Ray hasn't been sleeping well either. Not eating well also. Been averaging 5 ounces during the day and maybe 3 oz at night. THEN he'll wake up at 3-4 am to feed!!! UGH. So frustrating. I think Ray and I got spoiled since he has ALWAYS slept through the night eversince. It might be a combo of growth spurt and teething. Anyway, when Gia wakes try to let her fuzz for 10-15 min and see if she'll put herself back to sleep. If she still continues to fuzz then comfort her by singing her a lullaby or rocking her. If she still continues then feed. It's a pain but it might work. That's what the doctor suggest and that's what I read too. If you don't already, get "What to Expect the First Year" by Heidi Murkoff, Sandee Hathaway and Arlene Eisberg. It's a GREAT book.
My first niece had teeth at 6 months. Her little sister took about a year to grow hers (also took a little less than a year to start crawling, and a year to start walking and talking). Each one has their own timetable. :)
As for sleeplessness . . . don't know. They all have so many reasons not to sleep! Teething could be one, though, as could growing, as the above commenter mentioned.
