weeee that was so much fun to read as i sip my coffee procrastinating on work!! i'm soooo envious! it sounds like you guys had a really, really fantastic time!

and for the record...i would say russia is in the future too :P i say new zealand is all the time! hehehe.

and i'll admit...i got a little giddy when i saw that you tried on some rings WITH ryan there. sure beats us walking into tiffany's and oogling the rings saying "i want that, that and that." now he has an idea! :D

and the whales!!! Ohhhh it sounds so neat!!! you guys were super lucky to get to see all of that happen!!

overall it sounds like you had a really fantastic time and i'm super glad that you got the chance to go!! now you have made me feel like going on one!

Haha, well I'm glad it didn't put you to sleep!

It really was fantastic! And I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit giddy too. I didn't try on any actual engagement rings (just some fancy rings with blue diamonds), but he was pointing out rings and asking, "What about that? Do you like this?" and getting me to show him what I like. So he knows - princess cut, possibly three stone, but one stone is cool especially if there's channeling on the sides, and I need a thicker band (white gold!) because of my stubby fingers. :P

I think we should go on a cruise one day when we have money! It's such a fun experience!

WAAHHHH! I want this trip. Seriously. This makes me want to go on a cruise, but I bet it was really expensive. It sounds expensive. EVEN JUST READING IT MADE ME THINK "OMG EXPENSIVE".

I'm glad you had such a good time though and it sounds like it was super amazing. I was a little skeptical about an Alaskan tour (omg, snow, wheee?) but it does sound like it really was worth it. YOU HAVE REDEEMED ALASKA IN MY EYES.

And, I often refer to other time zones as being in the future or the past, so don't worry. :P

I don't even want to know how much they spent. D: But my parents did one too (mind you it was just the two of them, not seven people!) and it didn't put them in the poorhouse, so it can be done! One day when we're all married and established in life, we should go all together! It would be so fun.

There was no snow and it was in the teens temperature-wise pretty much everywhere we went, so I was glad about that! It's pretty rainy, so everything is super-green and there are tons of trees and mountains and stuff... it really is a lot like Kitimat!

And as for the time zone thing, I knew I wasn't crazy. :P They said I should have my teaching certificate revoked! Bastards. :P

Haha, sounds good, let's plan a group cruise 10 years from now. :P

Aw, that does sound kind of lovely, for some reason I pictured you prancing around in a giant parka, rolling in the snow. Hehe.

I think they just don't understand our way of thinking. They are clearly unenlightened individuals!

I'm jealous, sounds like an awesome cruise!! I went on a Caribbean cruise with my high school band, like uhh 15 or so some odd years ago and I loved it. One day I want to go on another cruise, one day!
And a side note - I feel your pain about Jeff, that's the one thing I don't miss about working at the old job, having to go out of town with moody jeff who wouldn't talk to me for an entire week! WFT! Seriously! The silent treatment? Oh my god, grow up man!

I guess the cruise industry is suffering pretty badly these days because of the economy, but it's definitely something I'd recommend everyone try at least once in their lives! That's the LIFE! :)

Ugh, he is BRUTAL, like a small, pouty child. I know I'm one to talk - I can be really moody too, but at least I let people know the reason for it!

Yeah, Ryan's parents are so amazing and generous. I'm super lucky to have scored in-laws like them, since there are so many people who have nightmare in-laws!

I have no clue who those people are, either. I'm guessing they're from a TV show!

Wow! your cruise sounds better than ours, lol. I got sick, so we didn't do any excursions. It was so much fun and really beautiful, though!

Sounds like you had a lot oof fun!

Oh, and I totally got seasick too. The last two days we were sailing through a storm and the ship was rocking SO much. Blegh.
