just walking back into the drafty old building where fencing lessons are held made me wonder what could have possessed me to stop lessons the first time. there were only 4 ppl in the adult beginner class, and i was right, i was the youngest there, naturally. w/in a few minutes, after going back and forth w/ Alex (the instructor) for several mins

Hmmph. You could have told me about this when we were actually talking so I could have asked you for details ;). I'm never up early enough in the morning. I guess I'll have to get details later.

You don't tell us whether you were one of the people who fell in. But you do talk about being soaked as if you experienced it, so I'll assume you at least got wet somehow. It certainly doesn't sound like a great idea in cold weather, and I doubt I would have enjoyed it, but if you found it fun, that's good, I guess.

I got up late this morning, so I didn't see Ling. Thank you for passing the message along. Naturally, I'm curious as to the reasons, so I'll probably ask you later.

James, need i even remind you how absolutely terrible my memory is? i dont think so, thus causing me to forget to tell u about this earlier
i was not one of the ppl who fell in, but had an unfortunate incident w/ a pair of not completely up to code waders, which wasnt the best, so thats that story. but no, i managed not to become completely submerged in below freezing water
