Okay, there's been some call for pictures of the living room and the world's smallest kitchen. I have included pictures of the satellite kitchen, because neither the living room nor the kitchen would be complete without it.  Please note that I have a double-decker dish rack, without wish drying dishes would be nearly impossible. Enjoy!
And here we ( Read more... )

When I move into the apartment that Beverly's in-laws own, I'll have a smaller kitchen than you :P

Wow, I still can't believe how different your apartment is than I imagined.

It's so colorful! What is the rack on top of what appears to be the oven?

How could a kitchen be tinier than that? I have just enough space to stand, and wash dishes, or do prep. The stove has 2 burners, and the fridge and all my dishes are in the other room!

rack on top of the oven, let's see... I don't know there's a shelf below the cabinets, and the grille atop the stove, instead of those burner things we have in the states. Did that answer your question?

Yaaay! *clap clap clap* Wow, it *is* tiny, lol.

I love the colors. And the windows. They're huge! How old is your building?

I think it was built in the 40s, but I'm not sure! One time I was in the kitchen, and Jaime walked behind me. It was obcene! It's a tiny, tiny space!

That soda bread looks lovely. How do you get it just right? Mine's always a little burnt on the outside and unbaked on the inside.... :(

I didn't like this recipe. It had you putting the melted butter in at the end, rather than working it into the flour, which is a recipe I like better. Really, anything with my oven is a bit of a crapshoot, as it has neither a temperature gauge, nor gasmarks. So I have no idea how it came out okay! It was a little wet on the inside, but not bad. Maybe try tiny loaf pans? Great to "see" you! It's been a loooong time!

Yeah, my loaves were all a bit on the big side.
Anyway, I've been following LJ all the time, just haven't had occasion to comment until now ;)

your kitchen actually appears to be smaller than your old kitchen. is that possible?! i really like the blue in the living room. btw, where exactly is your building?

My building is exactly at the foot of the Huerfanos pedestrian bridge, across from Arcis. On Riquelme. Yes, I believe the kitchen is smaller, the baker's rack doesn't fit! But it is more functional, and much, much less disgusting, which is great! BTW, Stephanie doesn't live in your old bldg anymore. Moved to a shmabulous house in Manuel Montt with bf and two other friends.

okay, walk out of the institute, take a right down Moneda to San Martín, walk on San Martin to Huerfanos (towards the river). Walk across the Huerfanos pedestrian bridge to the other side. Walk half a block, and bob's your uncle.

Or: from peperone, the awesome empanada spot on Huerfanos, walk three blocks towards the panamericana (Away from plaza brasil), and I'm in a the building on the left hand side.

Stalkers, please use buzzer and I'll ring you on up. Look at Mapcity.cl for riquelme 300. That's not my building, but it's darn close.
