Weekend trip report, a few days late

This weekend a bunch of us pedalled from Llo-Lleo (near San Antonio) to Matanzas. There were some murderous climbs, but we all made it, and all in one piece. Like I said in another post, we had some really violent crosswinds to contend with, but I will say it again, and again and again. Chile is gorgeous. I can't believe I get to live here.

Excellent! And I just saw one of those tripods in the L.L. Bean catalog and thought it would be an excellent present for my sister (the one who traveled by herself in Brazil last year). Your recommendation seals the deal!

The flexiness of it didn't help in this case, just got my camera up off the sand, but I have really liked having it so far. It's very compact, and it really holds on to nearly anything! I feel like that sister of yours and I would probably really get along! My sister actually recommended it to me. I was just going to get a little collapsible one, but I think this is much better for my purposes.

que lindo! pase el 18 en una parcela cerca de Llo-Lleo. Hubo muchisimo viento aunque estabamos a unos 10 km del mar. perfecto para volantines y cometas!

y me gusta lo del rio inestable. me hace pensar en "ojo!! se va a volver loco!!!"
