Okay, so it's been a few days... I've had a damn good weekend filled with work (yeah, okay, so maybe good/bad), friends, clubs, sushi, and LOTS of techno music! This, doth a happy Redd make.
Of course, as I'm writing, I can only think of tonight's 24...
Please note: THIS IS ONLY A THEORY! I do NOT read spoilers. ^_^ Spoilers make the baby Jesus cry. (there's references to last week's eppy in case you haven't watched it in which I would advise you to come out of the rock you've been living under for the four months)
When I was watching tonight, for some reason I had a flashback to Babylon 5's insane plot twist of an evil Vice President. I think that the VP in the 24-verse is a good actor... notice that "acting" remark. Wouldn't it be totally whacked out if he hired Marjuan to act out these terrorist acts and then to arrange the death of the President?
The VP acted all scaredy-kittenish when he got the call from the President about how Air Force 1 was being targeted and he might become the next President. Then it happens and he gets the call that AF1's gone down and he's all worry-wart. Then he gets another call that the President's alive, but unable to lead the country, so Novic (woohoo! I loved him in the days of Palmer) insists the VP take the 25th admendment and take up the place of President. We're back to scardey-kittenish mode. Why? Hasn't it gone through his head at least a million and one times that something might happen and he'd have to be leader? If he were so meek about the job, he wouldn't be the VP at all.
I'm thinking it's all an act. That he's looking all meek and timid because he wants people around him to feel like they are pressuring him to take up the role. That it was all their idea and not his at all. Now that's the core of manipulation! I just don't trust him...
O-bee-kay-bee's... I'm going to head out now and sleep. I finally get to sleep in tomorrow and I plan to enjoy some dreamwork :) I'll write more about my weekend later, when I'm not all concerned over Jack ^_^
